Very hospitable kinky staff🪁 good food
Pros:

Location walk to courts and town shops

Cons:

Missing light bulbs (both stays!) tv remote had dead batteries..reception came up to fix errors but tv was switched off at wall by room staff prior? unhelpful! to settle in (for tired) guests. Nb. Very steep narrow stairs: Victorian, best an avoid if frail or at risk on high riser stairs ..

Great Value and Location!
Pros:

The room was nice and the shower decent.
Breakfast was good and all the staff were lovely.
Massive garden so it was nice to sit outside.

Cons:

The only thing as it’s an old property so no lift and the stairs were a killer.

great pub, terrible room
Pros:

great pub below…but car crash of a room

Cons:

I hate it in an empty hotel when they still give you the worst possible room. So much so that when I went to ask why there was a jet engine outside my window the staff said ‘oh is it room 106,yeah that’s the extractor for the kitchen. It goes off at 9’ like that’s acceptable when you want a decent rest after a days work. Suffice to say it didn’t go off at 9. The toilet seat was looser than your ma after a bottle of cava and the noise of the staff shifting tables around after the pub closed came up through the floor as well. Lovely beer, lovely staff, terrible hotel room for a stupidly unreasonable price too.

Room was let down by lack of maintenance but still charged a hefty £157 for one night with no breakfast. More a restaur
Pros:

The bed was really comfortable

Cons:

Our room was in need of painting. It looked worn and tired, paint chipped off everywhere, side table was so wobbly you could barely use it, curtains missing hooks, and a blocked basin that caused a flood. The inside of the windows were filthy. No maintenance whatsoever.

Pros:

There were issues with the room but a member of staff tried hard to resolve them.
The bed was comfortable and shower was good.
Linen was clean and bed made well.

Cons:

The room was right by the kitchen fan/aircon outlet which was very noisy although it stopped at 9ish it started again early.
The radiator wasn't working but the member of staff chased this up and the boiler issue was resolved.
The loo seat was only tightened on one side so loose and wonky.
Desk lamp had no bulb just empty socket - again the staff member tried to sort this out but couldn't.
Patches of paint missing from door. Stair carpet down was really grubby.
It seemed like it had been styled but not maintained. It seemed overpriced and a bit unloved.
