Queen Victoria Hotel & Manor House by NEWMARK

Excellent location across the road from the V&A Waterfront. Although we did eat breakfast once at the sister hotel (Victoria & Alfred) which is on the waterfront, we preferred the Manor House for its boutique feel and calm atmosphere.
The location is completely safe which enabled us to walk around without concern day or night.

The Victoria hotel at matta house is a perfect small five-star hotel right across the street from the marina where there are multiple restaurants and shops. Rooms and service were excellent. Recommended to anyone.

Just a lovely place to stay. My only complaint was that the food menu was very limited, especially since I didn’t want a 6 course meal. Options were limited and cobbled together 2 appetizers as a meal. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience.

Simply exceptional service. The staff were the most welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and thoughtful I have ever interacted with. An absolutely divine hotel. Food was excellent. Great beds and linens. Loved the thoughtful black facecloth for make up removal. Will definitely return.

We were upgraded to the Dock House & had a lovely big room & bathroom looking over to the waterfront. The small breakfast room was beautifully presented with fantastic flower displays & the staff could not do enough for you.

Perfect stay in Dock House. Everything about the hotel & facilities are excellent & the staff really do go the extra mile to make the stay special. The location is perfect for Waterfront & we would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful property, very close to the mall with many dining options. The staff was incredibly friendly and I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here!

Lovely hotel in every way.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was elegantly appointed. The food in the restaurant was top notch.

I can’t say enough about the staff here. Check in was not waiting in line in front of a long counter. Instead, you were seated at a desk and given a beverage to sip on during the quick check in process. There was always someone nearby to ask a question. The breakfast that was included had so many choices and was delicious! Location was a very short walk to the Waterfront. Room was very nice with a small tray of treats to greet us. Bathroom included heated towel racks which were a pleasant surprise. My only criticism was that the bathroom toilet area had obviously had a water leak so the paint was bulging and looked horrible which was certainly not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. I would definitely recommend.

Small quiet hotel. Perfect location and all the staff were excellent. They could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended hotel.

We especially enjoyed the intimate boutique ambiance of the Manor House. Undoubtedly, our most cherished memories include the exceptional service rendered daily by its staff to accommodate our desires.

Friendly helpful staff in a great location

First stop en route up the garden route for our honeymoon and couldn’t have got off to a better start. The hotel itself is amazing very modern with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff were very attentive and friendly can not speak highly enough of all involved with the hotel. The breakfast as well was amazing and set us up perfectly every morning for the rest of the day

The hotel was well equipped so comfortable and clean, its proximity to the main road meant it was very noisy in our room and the swimming pool, the staff were very friendly and so helpful although there weren’t enough staff for breakfast service and at the bar early evening
