Superb place for relaxation, can enjoy with family, when I was drowned the staff excellently saved my life that siraj ul..thanks a lot to him.i recommend the hotel to everyone. I stayed at 175 room with excellent view.

The hotel itself was in lovely location and very clean and tidy. Staff polite and helpful
FOOD We were all inclusive and this was the main issue. Breakfast was great as the breads and eggs suited my daughter and I
The evening meal was a struggle as the hotel did appear to cater for Eastern Europeans and the food was never hot. So our day consisted very predominantly of bread which was not ideal

I had an excellent stay at the Occidental Sharjah Grand Hotel. The hotel is very well located, with a beautiful beach, clean and comfortable rooms, and high-quality facilities. The staff is professional, welcoming, and always available to make the stay pleasant.

Special mention to Monir, who was exceptional throughout the stay: friendly, attentive, very professional, and always ready to help. His sense of service truly made a difference and greatly contributed to making our experience memorable.

The Beach is very clean. The Pool is very Nice. The breakfast are very Nice. Hotel Service are very good. Sirajul are very friendly.

We spent an excellent time here, the service and team is amazing, polite, helpful, the rooms quality might be better (scuffed furniture, dirty spots in the bathroom).
It’s nice the hotel has a custom dinners with different countries cuisine.
The beach is large and clean, seafront is extremely beautiful. As well there are public bus stops near, so you can easily get to Sharjah city, Dubai, even Abu Dhabi.
We heavily suggest this hotel because of location and service.

We stayed at Occidental Sharjah Grand and were extremely disappointed with practically every aspect of the hotel. The only positive was the beautiful, warm sea, which really has nothing to do with the hotel itself.

From the moment we arrived, we noticed a strong musty smell throughout the hotel. While dirt was not highly visible, the odor was overwhelming and unpleasant.

The rooms were standard, but the air conditioning was absolutely terrible—so loud that sleeping was impossible. Automatic temperature control did not work at all, and after trying it for several days, we stopped using it entirely.

The view from the room could have been nice, but balconies were constantly covered in droppings from nesting pigeons. Drying clothes on the balcony meant they would get soiled. We had a “better room” with a sea view, but the balcony was unusable. Despite visiting the reception four times to request a room change to the ground floor, we were told it was being worked on, yet nothing was done during our entire 8-day stay. One receptionist, Harun, even avoided us when we approached, forcing us to explain everything again to other staff members.

The smell in the room was so strong that after returning home, my wife had to wash our clothes four times to remove it. The sports bar also repeatedly smelled of garbage, while the main restaurant was the only place without odor issues.

Food was another disaster. We booked all-inclusive, but meals were mostly inedible. Almost everything was over-spiced with strong Indian herbs and curry, including plain rice. Only once during lunch did we have a normal dish—roast duck. The selection was extremely limited, usually only 3–5 main dishes besides salads or garnishes. Our children mostly survived on fries with ketchup, and we had to order McDonald’s or simple pizza nearby because they were hungry. The “Italian night” was beautifully set up outside on the beach, but the food served was completely unrelated—kebabs and Russian-style beef instead of pasta, pizza, or traditional Italian dishes. Other themed evenings were equally disappointing.

The pool was okay, but bar service was poor. Staff were often absent, and we had to wait long periods for drinks. Beach towels were given early in the morning and had to be returned to staff, meaning you could not keep them in your room. The beach sand was contaminated with cat feces, with cats freely roaming, sitting on loungers, or leaving waste nearby.

In short:

Sea: beautiful

View: ruined by birds and balcony droppings

Smell: musty and overwhelming throughout the hotel and rooms

Food: very limited, mostly inedible, over-spiced

Staff: particularly reception, unhelpful

Pool/Beach: poor service, cleanliness issues

This hotel does not meet even 2–3 star standards anywhere else in the world. We will never stay here again. Absolute disappointment.

The hotel is wonderful! We’re looking forward to coming back soon! Thanks to Mr. Mena, Rana, Bahar, Zamira, Alaa! Rooms are comfortable, service is perfect! Swimming pool and beach are very clean!

We've had a great time, as always. The sea is fantastic, the food is great. Special thanks to Mr. Maurice and Mr. Taleb for the cuisine, also to Shahid for the cleaning!

We booked two Deluxe Sea View rooms with breakfast for October 31. Despite calling ahead and being told check-in was at 3:00 PM, the hotel had neither room ready when we arrived. My family and I waited in the lobby for 1 hour and 15 minutes after traveling from Dubai — no apology, no urgency, nothing. We finally received our rooms around 4:15 PM.

The next morning, I asked for a one-hour late checkout due to the hotel delaying both rooms the previous day. Instead of acknowledging the delay, the manager on duty that day (around 10 am on November 1) responded with rudeness, blame, and zero professionalism, offering only one room and insisting the issue was because we “booked late.” Booking at 11 AM for same-day arrival does not justify a 4:15 PM check-in — and no one informed us of any delay in advance.

To make things worse, the rooms had multiple operational issues:
• Several electrical outlets did not work
• AC unit was extremely loud and made sleeping difficult
• Balcony area full of pigeons and noise all night
• The towels were not changed in our rooms later

Facilities were equally disappointing:
• Restaurant refused service after 5 PM due to having the Halloween party later that evening — in a so-called resort property
• Lobby pool table requires payment (20 AED for one hour!!!), which is ridiculous for this hotel category
• Overall property feels old, worn, and has a musty smell
• Finally, although they extended our stay for one hour, they did not extend the room locks so we had again to call, argue, and get upset when we couldn’t get our stuff back.

The biggest problem isn’t even the outdated facilities — it’s the attitude, lack of care, and unprofessional behavior from that specific manager (unfortunately, I did not catch his name, but he worked the morning shift at 10 am on November 1, 2025). A hospitality business that refuses to take responsibility for its own delays and treats paying guests like an inconvenience should not be operating under this brand.

There are countless better options in the UAE. Save your money and avoid this place — especially if you expect even basic standards of customer service and respect.
