Breakfast was excellent.
Receptionist had an attitude. We were initially given a room at the back of the hotel where there were shipping containers being moved arpund in the evening. I asked the receptionist if the noise would continue through the night and she said maybe. I asked for another room and while we were eventually given one (after her saying she had none available) her attitude was unsympathetic and unhelpful, shrugging her shoulders and asking "what do you expect me to do". Unacceptable and unprofessional for front of house. All other staff were excellent, espevially the cleaner.
Staff were welcoming and polite. The hotel had a fresh clean smell when you walked in and very clean. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. A 8 min drive from Meadowhall and parking is free.
Everything was perfect bar meals and all the staff room was fantastic and very clean would recommend to my friends thank you
I came here with my husband for a night away as I booked tickets for westlife, the rooms are really clean smelt really Nice and Even walking into the hotel it’s smells really clean. Would definitely recommend and would also come back.

I want to use this opportunity to say a BIG BIG thank you to all the staff at Mercury Sheffield Parkway for making my stay an eventful one. Special thanks to Natalan, you guys blew me away with the birthday gift and card for my son's birthday. The boys had so much fun, too. And It's only fair to say I loved everything about the place from the room, the amenities, and the location. It was a great weekend!!! 😃
I'm going to be frank, I don't have anything to say about what I didn't like expect the fact that I couldn't spend more time there at your esteemed hotel.
Room was fine
we checked in at about 11.15pm and the man on reception didn't seem to know what he was doing and it took a while - giving us the key card to a room. When we opened the door there was a guest already in there - lying in bed!! Both he and us were very annoyed - it could have been a lot worse, if that had been a young girl either checking in or already in the room! We apologised and went back downstairs to be given another room. The whole episode unsettled my wife. We did get an apology from the member of staff on the desk the next morning but that was all.
