Dormy Inn Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring

I loved the Onsen especially the outdoor Onsen with stone sides (on top floor and well fenced). The laundry worked well. Breakfast was excellent although the breakfast room is a bit cramped. Room was large by Japanese standards and comfortable. The free treats and bedtime noodles are great. Overall a lovely stay.

Very convenient to train station and bus terminal. Quiet location. There was breakfast and a restaurant, but we didn't use. We didn't use the Onsen either.

Great to relax in the hot springs baths at the end of the day! :)

Hotel was OK. Basic, nothing special but great location. They still have this outdated rule about no tattoos on the Onsen. Needs a revamp on the rules and the design (interior and exterior).

This is a hybrid between a Japanese style and western style hotel. You have to take your shoes off to approach the reception and to go up to your room, but then have the conundrum of how to roll your luggage up the ramp to reception (which starts from beyond the shoes off area), could have done without it when I arrived tired after my journey. Staff very friendly and speak English. The room was comfortable and I liked the onsen which I used twice. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Lovely comfortable hotel with a great indoor and outdoor onsen on the top floor. Tattoo friendly also if you use the stickers which the front desk provides free of charge.

Japanese business hotels offer small, clean, affordable rooms. These are great for internationals who want to meet Japanese people. My sibling Americans sometimes complain about small rooms. Large rooms are available at luxury hotels, but you cannot find better service than the service you receive at business hotels. Dormy provides great quality at affordable rates.

Dormy Inns are great. Good onsens, great breakfast, lovely staff. Nothing not to like.

Very clean hotel. Very close to the train station and convenient for shopping and dining in town. Great onsen and nice treats afterwards. The pillows are a bit flat for some western tourists. Myself included.

Always like the Dormy Inn Chain. Consistent, convenient and always have little surprises (yakult, ramen supper, ice cream) to make the stay pleasant amd memorable!

We stayed one night at this Dormy Inn and it was good and as expected. The location is excellent with a private parking. The room was simple as expected. The breakfast was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient option if you visit Matsumoto.

Loved the onsen. Staff great. Lots of snacks available. Found the bed and pillows very firm so did not sleep well.

This hotel is an easy walk up the street from the train station and there are numerous dining options in the area. Good home base for exploring Matsumoto.

The hotel itself is nice, but the rooms are rather small, if you are used to "Western" accommodations. The baths are very nice, segregated and get a lot of use. The free laundry (wash was free, dryer was not) was a nice feature for travelers. They also offer a free bow of ramen at night!

Another good stay at a Dormy Inn. We stayed for 1 night.

Hotel was in a great location. Easy walk from the station, about 5 minutes. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from the Castle. They had a good public bath - male / female split.

Room - small, functional, and clean. Perfect for 1 night.

Breakfast - as with most Dormy Inns we have stayed at breakfast was average.

The hotel was an easy walk from the train station & had welcoming staff to assist with your check-in. Room was comfortable with nice bedding. My only compliant would be the hard pillows. The Onsen was the highlight of the property. Beautiful surroundings, clean & had both indoor & outdoor spaces. Highly recommend !

The onsen at Dormy Inn was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice little touches like welcome drink, evening snack etc. Not many restaurants nearby. Short walk to Matsumoto Castle.

Very convenient for the station. Free washing machines and snacks by the onsen, which was also excellent. Helpful staff. Breakfast area a bit smallbut breakfast itself was good. Lots of choice
