We enjoyed our stay at Mariagri and Policoro very much!
Pros:

Breakfast and shower were great… but bathtub is high to enter and cappuccino could be better. Met manager of restaurant at breakfast who was very cordial.

Cons:

Front desk was somewhat difficult to communicate with as their English wasn’t so good nor my Italian.

I also question if I double paid for my room booking as I was charged by booking.com as well as the hotel upon my departure. I wish you or someone would check into this please?

Not a 5 star hotel
Pros:

The bedrooms and the location were really beautiful. I really loved our bedroom with the terrace and the curtains that allowed for the bedroom to be completely dark when it was time to sleep.

Cons:

I personally wouldn’t catalogue it as a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was quite disappointing, most of the personal don’t speak another language besides Italian, which is expected in a 5 star hotel and I found extremely uncomfortable that in order to access the pool you were obliged to wear a swimming cap that was not provided, you had to buy it. Also toiletries were not provided which again, it’s the least you expect in a 5 star hotel. For the price you pay for a bedroom there and for it to be called a 5 star hotel you would expect a lot lot more.

Pros:

Bella marina, bella spiaggia, camere Grandi, cena buona, piscina carina ma piccola.

Cons:

Servizio non 5 stelle, camere vecchiotte, poco personale, colazione appena sufficiente, niente da fare oltre andare a mare e soprattutto hanno messo degli alberi a bloccare la vista mare che quindi è inutile.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well kept. We especially enjoyed the meals, which offered plenty of fresh and high-quality options. This is a vacation spot particularly suited to those who look for a quiet and restful familiar environment. The staff is very nice and trully healpful to every request.

Cons:

It really has very few downs... It can be a little too "off the beaten track" and far from the Italian cultural routes.
