Riva Reşatbey Luxury Hotel

Breakfast is very poor. The hotel is close to a 2 star hotel

I booked my room at Riva Resatbey Hotel through Agoda and asked for airport pickup, since I arrived at Adana from Istanbul at 2:40 and I didn’t want to have the trouble with cash money for the taxi – but the hotel didn’t arrange the pickup, hence after waiting for more than half an hour outside the airport, I finally got a taxi to the hotel.

I informed the driver about my lack of money and that the hotel would have to pay him and he was fine with that.

After arriving at the hotel, it took a lot of persuasion to get the staff in the reception to pay him, but finally one of the men gave me 200 TRY to pay for the taxi – but it ended being a private deal and not done by the hotel – which failed at picking me up. I later withdrew cash and paid him back.

The room – 112 – had several flaws which should not be something that the guest had to worry about. Here is my list:

• The floor in the shower was slippery – very slippery – just waiting for someone to fall and get badly hurt.

• The showerhead was stuffed with limestone, regularly cleaning should be done for the comfort of the guests – I did the cleaning myself – at least the head got rubber jets that are easy to rub clean.

• The toilet brush was dirty and broken – buy some really cheap ones you can easily and cheaply replace – not these ‘sophisticated’ expensive ones.

• The caulking work in the shower was a butchered job, get proper people to do a good job, it looked only half-baked.

• The safe in the wardrobe didn’t work as the mixed-brand batteries had ‘sweated’ their guts out and destroyed the electronics. Buy good quality, change all at the same time and use the same brand, so you don’t destroy your investment – the safe itself.

• They put up another safe, but as it was not attached to the shelf, it meant that you could just take the entire safe under your arm and walk away with it.

• The curtain rails were not fitted with proper stops, so when I let the morning light in, the curtains in the left side dropped to the floor. The maintenance team ‘fixed’ it with stuffing paper into the rail ends! Do proper repairs – or keep suffering for continuous bad fixes, as you do now.

• The double doors could not close, the locking handle on the left side was locked, but the door could slide open – the same with the right side which did not have a locking mechanism. Due to being unlocked, the street noise came in through the gaps.

The location of the hotel is fine, and the cleanliness was also fine. The staff was not overly diligent, but all in all very OK and polite.

The breakfast was with a good selection of food, something for all.

For the price, the hotel must do a better job keeping the rooms in perfect order, this is not a low-priced hotel. For that reason, I will not recommend this hotel.

For all other reasons, I will recommend the place.

I liked the reception desk... i even ordered food from outside the hotel and they helped me to get the best adana kabab... also room quite... tv channels... Netflix...

Location of the hotel was great and the buidiing was modern and nicely designed. Reception was so kind and let us check in early and checkout late. Highly recommended!

everything were good, except Turkish tradition to smoke inside buildings and rooms. the smell wasn’t strong but I’ve felt it. it didn’t get discomfort to me, but I would like to live in not smoking room.

Unfortunately, the choice was small, because I needed this exact location. I chose Riva Hotel as the closest to the required place. Fortunately, the hotel turned out to be not just clean and comfortable, there are also excellent rooms, there is no smell in the corridors and rooms, the room itself is spacious, convenient arrangement of furniture, sockets, many lamps of varying brightness, a good shower, a lot of clean towels, necessary shower accessories, safe, enough drinking water, everything for tea. Breakfast was also very pleased with a large range of dishes, everything is cooked very tasty, the food is fresh, there is freshly brewed coffee. The front desk staff is friendly, courteous and speak excellent English.
I recommend this hotel to all travelers, will definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent. The area is very safe but crowded. The staff is friendly and very supportive.

Don't book this hotel wifi doesn't work plus owner of the hotel doesn't let you a order anythings from outside it's like a prison he was fighting with poor delivery guy unbelievable, overnight property keep losing power lights and tv turn off and on by themselves, I left 3 days early even though I paid.

Very Quiet, Stuffs very friendly, Clean Rooms but a little bit small. Wide variety for breakfast. Near the park and the main road.

Gece odanızda sanki konserdeymişsiniz gibi yüksek müzik sesi duymak istiyorsanız, bir otelde gözünüze uyku girmeyecek kadar bas titreşimi olmazsa olmaz diyorsanız doğru tercih. Üstelik yasalar eğlenceyi kısıtladı, gece 12'de biter diye üzülmeyin! Sabah 4'e kadar da devam ediyor. Müzik sabah 4'te bitti, gürültü bitecek diye de kaygılanmayın! Eğlenceden çıkanlar otelin önünde yüksek sesli konuşmaları ve kahkahalarıyla odanızdaymış gibi gürültüyü sürdürecektir. Ha normal insanlar gibi yüksek seste uyuyamayanlardansanız, devam edeceğini gece 12'den sonra öğrendiğiniz bu sesten kaçmak için bavulunuzu toplayıp Adana sokaklarını arşınlamak ve odada kalıp sinir harbi yaşamak arasında bir tercih yapmanız gerekecek. Kısacası, uyumak istiyorsanız gitmeyin. Misafirlerini kesinlikle umursamayan bir işletme!

Temizlik, oda ortalamaydı. Yatağın bir kısmı çökmüştü, aşırı yumuşak ve rahatsızdı biZim açımızdan. Kahvaltı ortalamaydı, temiZlikle ilgili ne odada bine kahvaltıda problem yaşamadık. Oda karanlık ve yan binalarla iç içe. Kalınmaz değil amaen ideal yer de değil…

İyi bir otel. Temizlik ve hizmet gayet iyiydi. Bahçeye servis yapan görevli hanım çok güler yüzlü ve nazikti. Ancak resepsiyondaki görevliler hep asık yüzlü ve yeterince kibar değiller. Otel yönetimi, resepsiyondaki personelinize dikkat lütfen.

We stayed at the Riva from 08-10-2021 till 10-10-2021. stayed in room 503 had a very lovely stay, one problem was with the wifi, the signal was always too weak, and we could barely connect.
The staff were lovely and nice specially the restaurant staff.
one special mention is to "Eyup", was very helpful from the first step into the hotel, went the extra mile to help us out, a Big Thank you for you.

The reception person was unprofessional. He made me wait, helped a person. The room wasn't clean and had a power problem. The busboy was very helpful. in-room coffee machine was broken.
