Den dejligste velkomst, den sødeste vært og hund. Vi følte os virkelig velkommen og taget godt imod. God beliggenhed, tæt på stranden og den gamle by. Parkering, gode muligheder, parkeringshus lige i nærheden.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

This hotel is in a lovely old mansion with easy access to all the sights in Nice. The tram stop is right across the street that takes you from the airport to the shopping district and beyond. Restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. The owner/host is Gilles and he is assisted by his furry buddy, Marius. Together, they greet, give information, directions and advice that is so helpful. And Marius will give you a morning lick on the nose if you wish - but he is careful not to if you don't want one.... The rooms are comfortable and include everything you need. The bonus is a basic "kitchenette" which is lovely for longer stays especially. I felt very comfortable and safe and cared for. After 3 weeks, it was hard to leave.

Little gem with helpful owner & his dog
Pros:

Friendly guesthouse located only a short walk from the promenade and beach.
Small kitchen area including fridge and microwave, grocery shop only a few minutes walk away.
Tram from airport stops right outside.
Train station for trips towards Cannes or Monacco 10 min walk.
Everyone in Nice is very friendly and there is lots to see and do.
We loved every minute of it! ❤️

Far from perfect
Pros:

If your expecting some flexibility here this place will disappoint. Checkout and breakfast at 11 am sharp. Small entry/reception - tiny breakfast nook.
Lovely little dog! Room gets heat from street/ simple windows when hot!
A bit difficult to identify - limited signage at street level residential building.

Trams, Trays, and a Dog in Tow
Pros:

The hotel is located on the ground floor of a Belle Époque residential building. The location is excellent: a tram station with direct airport access is just on the next block. It is a 5-minute walk to the Promenade and 20 minutes to Vieux Nice.

The hotel has 8 rooms of various sizes that are a bit worn, some with cramped bathrooms. There is a fridge to keep a bottle of rosé cool, though I would have preferred a slightly cleaner floor.

An adequate buffet-style breakfast is included and served in a confined room. Fortunately, you can take a tray back to your room to escape the chitchat of fellow travellers.

Gilles does not like coffee. I managed with the dog.

Overall, it is a fairly priced alternative, especially considering the great location.

Malutka, ale wygodna jadalnia. Śniadania skromne, ale smaczne. Wszystko na swoim miejscu.

Best location in Nice France with personal Concierge
Pros:

We just spent 8 wonderful nights at the Victor Hugo Hotel and cannot recommend it enough! It is right in the heart of Nice—literally across from the tram and a 5-minute walk to the train station and the Promenade. The host Gilles (and his super cute dog!) made the trip extra special. He helped us plan our daily itineraries and gave the best transit tips. Plus, the daily breakfast was amazing with fresh pastries, bread, cheese, meats, fruit, and eggs. We loved France and will definitely be back!

Une expérience extrêmement amère suite à la disparition de mon alliance. Je l'avais laissée dans la poche d'un jean à l'intérieur de ma valise le temps d'une course de vélo. À mon retour, 4 heures plus tard, elle avait disparu.

​Bien que le propriétaire affiche une confiance absolue envers son unique employée de ménage, les faits sont là : l'objet était présent au moment de mon départ et n'y était plus à mon retour. Malgré mes signalements, aucune solution n'a été trouvée.

​Je ne peux que conseiller aux futurs voyageurs d'être extrêmement méfiants et de ne rien laisser traîner, même à l'intérieur de vos bagages. Mettez impérativement tous vos objets de valeur en sécurité ou sous clé, car la sécurité des biens n'est pas garantie ici.

Our Go-to Place in Nice
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel every trip since we discovered it in 2018. Gilles and his dog Marius are so welcoming, and Gilles is so helpful with advice about places to go and things to do (and how to get to them). The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Easy acess to the beach on foot or other places, like the old port, by tram.
