Spacious, good amenities and close proximity to ski slopes:)
Pros:

Facilities were great just a little old but v pleased with everything overall. Ski drying room, onsen were a pleasure to have for us who were skiing! And the slope (it was a cat track down to the main slope) was just behind the hotel!

Breakfast was good. I paid for dinner there on one night and it was great too!

Would be back again if food is improved !
Pros:

- Very great location, you can truly ski in ski out ( I see comments complaining this is not ski in ski out, I doubt either they can’t read the map or they come too early/late in the season where lower runs are closed)
- Convenient to all resorts in Shiga Kogen as Yamanoeki bus station is a short walk, you can go to Okushiga or Kumamoyu without having to transit
-Nagano snow shuttle can drop you off and pick you up right at the hotel to/from HND/NRT
- Staff are very nice, one young man at the reception speaks better-than-average-Japanese English
-Free laundry and drying machine ( need to buy detergents)

Cons:

-No luggage storage but there are lockers
-FOOD!!!! Both breakfast and dinners are so miserable. And you do not have other restaurant choices. Please do improve food!
- We cannot use wifi at all throughout our 4 nights stay

Good sized room, onsen, drying room, breakfast and dinner. Easy enough to ski out but can be difficult to find first time to ski in...even with directions.

Pros:

The Onsen in house is a blessing. Rooms are OK, breakfast OK, staff were helpfull and in house ski hire helps too. Ski out is genuine, ski in, you do need to walk across a road.

Cons:

Breakfast was very Japanese, could have had a little more variety

便利な場所で快適でした。
Pros:

早朝到着時の駐車場使用をお願いしましたが、連休で駐車場が空いていない可能性が高いとの返事でした。が、代わりの駐車場を指示して頂き助かりました。
フロントは笑顔で、スムースな対応でよかった。

Friendly helpful staff, hot bath was great, good location to access ski fields. Hotel ski equipment rental was good valve for $, met our requirements.

Parfait incroyable nous sommes ravis de notre séjour
Pros:

Très proche d’un arrêt de bus, les chambres sont spacieuses et bien équipées, il y’a une piste qui mène aux remontées mécaniques derrière l’hôtel et une qui permet de rentrer à l’hôtel de l’autre côté de la route l’hôtel dispose d’un onsen d’un restaurant d’une supérette et de son propre magasin de location de matériel de ski complet et le personnel est d’une infinie gentillesse nous étions très heureux de séjourner à l’hôtel Shiga Lake
