Fantastic
Pros:

Location was excellent. Breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and quantity of food and choice.

Cons:

The only negative comment I would make is about the car parking charges. I thought 12 euros per day was very expensive. For a hotel of this quality, I would have expected free parking.

Staff were efficient and friendly.
Location was good.
Hotel was clean.

Cons:

We booked a premium room which was pretty standard.
We were not made aware of the massive noisy construction job going on directly below our room which started at 8am to 7pm daily. I understand upgrade work needs to happen and it will be fabulous once complete!
It would have been nice to get fresh towels each day which didn't happen.

Great value
Pros:

Food was good, beds were very comfortable. The area not so much, but close to the beach/port area which is nicer. Overall good value.

Cons:

The great gardens this hotel once had are gone - sadly, more bricks than trees. I remember this hotel in the 1980s, and the best part of it were the gardens.

In spite of the good food and decent staff, the hotel is NOT 4 star. In fact it is misleading g the advertise as such. 3
