Pros:

Small but nice rooms with a little balcony overlooking the interior courtyard. Ground floor covered courtyard a pretty spot for breakfast or dinner. Thai town is around the corner. Griffith Park a short walk away.

Main picture is misleading because it makes it look like there is a pool but there’s not. And there’s no elevator making lugging bags more of a hassle. Otherwise it was very clean and the staff were nice.

Pros:

The Cara was a lovely oasis tucked away in East Hollywood. The rooms were simple but chic, quiet and comfortable, with a nice balcony to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking a gorgeous courtyard. Had breakfast and dinner here and both meals were delicious and staff attentive. I'll definitely be staying here again.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great! It’s very pretty at night to relax in the patio but you should know it is a popular spot for people to come have dinner and drink drinks. So it can be pretty crowded, and a bit loud even in your room because of the courtyard.
ALSO: note that is not a pool in the middle!
We thought we were checking into a hotel that had a pool to relax by and take a swim, but it is really a very shallow water feature

Pros:

5 stars all the way around!! Beautiful hotel and friendly helpful staff. Missing a pool, but we were going to the Greek Theater for a concert, only a 7 min short ride away! Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. Enjoyed the scallops at dinner and the fresh fruit on the chia pudding. My husband had the mushroom omelet and it was delicious at brunch. The bar was cool. Easy check in and check out.
