Here are my observations regarding the Four Points hotel, where I had the pleasure of staying. To provide a fair assessment, I have broken my impressions down into several categories:
1. Rooms – I stayed in two different rooms because my work plans changed halfway through, prompting me to extend my stay. Both rooms were very clean, spacious, and serviced daily. They were also well-appointed, so nothing was missing. I particularly appreciated the centralized lighting controls and the large, comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked very well in both rooms. I also liked having a coffee and tea station and access to a fridge; everything I needed was there.
2. Bathroom – It featured a modern design and was cleaned daily, with supplies replenished as needed. The shower gel and shampoo were of excellent quality, so I made good use of them. The same applied to the towels; although I didn't specifically request daily changes, they were replaced every day.
3. Dining – Although I only had breakfast at the hotel, the selection was extensive. I could choose from a wide variety of dishes and ingredients to create the breakfast I wanted. I enjoy Indian cuisine, so I was pleased to see it available every day. The yogurts and fresh fruit were also definite highlights.
4. The reception team – always helpful and smiling. This is exactly what customer service should look like. Regardless of the time of day, I always received professional service—even when my room key stopped working. Keep up the good work.
5. The kitchen manager—or whatever the correct title might be—the person who checks in guests arriving for breakfast. This is the only area where I see a shortcoming, as I had a completely different experience at another Marriott 4-star hotel in Visakhapatnam. At that hotel, the person greeting and registering guests entering the dining area was smiling and engaged with long-staying guests, making me feel special. They also gave us a very warm send-off, with the head chef even coming out to say goodbye. It was a lovely touch, even though I hadn't expected that level of service. Here, I got the impression of a rather corporate approach; the staff member performed their duties, but there was a lack of smiles and genuine engagement—they simply did the job correctly. It was a similar story with the waiters; only on Sunday was the serving team truly smiling and helpful, whereas during the week, they mostly just performed their tasks adequately.
6. High praise is due to the tall man who opened the hotel entrance doors and handled luggage during the week; it was clear that he performed his job wholeheartedly, with kindness and dedication. That is what professional service looks like.
7. Swimming pool – due to a lack of time, I only had the opportunity to use it once. The pool staff were very helpful, maintaining cleanliness and attending to every detail.

Smooth check-in experience. The front desk staff were very polite and hospitable. (Mr. Bimal from FO dept was polite and kind.)

However, the IRD service needs improvement. The food trays appeared worn out and should be replaced with new ones. Additionally, the food quality and taste did not meet the standards expected of a 5-star hotel.

The restaurant staff were courteous and professional. They also offered a complimentary pastry to address the concern regarding the balcony being inaccessible, despite a balcony room having been booked.

Had an amazing buffet experience at Four Points by Sheraton, Vizag! The food prepared by Chef Hamid was exceptionally delicious—every single item on the spread was a hit.
A special thanks to Sandeep for his excellent service and attentiveness throughout our meal. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our dining experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and fantastic hospitality in Visakhapatnam!

Had a very comfortable stay at Four Points by Sheraton, Visakhapatnam from 8–19 June. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the staff was always helpful.

A special thanks to Ms. Sai Laxmi at the front desk for her warm and professional support, and to Mr. Sandeep and Mr. Jalal from the restaurant team for their excellent service and hospitality.

We chose Four Points by Sheraton to celebrate our special occassion and they blew us away by their incredible hospitality! From the moment we checked in, Sai Lakshmi, their front office manager made us feel incredibly welcome and valued. They surprised by decorating our room with rose petals and left a beautiful, personalized note alongside a jar of dry fruits. We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast buffet both mornings. They truly took our special occassion to next level. We cannot recommend this property enough and will definitely be returning!

Had an amazing time at Sheraton. Very helpful courteous staff. I would like to express my appreciation for Mr.Shubham, an On-the-Job Trainee at the Front Desk. During my previous stay, I had several opportunities to interact with him, and he left a very positive impression on me. Despite being a trainee, he carried himself with remarkable maturity, confidence, and professionalism. He was always polite, greeted with a genuine smile, attended to request calls promptly, and willingly assisted with luggage whenever needed.

What impressed me most was his positive attitude and eagerness to help. He was attentive, respectful, and always ready to support guests in any way he could. His communication skills and guest-friendly approach made me feel comfortable and valued throughout my stay.

During one of our conversations, I asked him about himself and was pleasantly surprised to learn that, apart from his hotel training, he is also a dancer and a volleyball player. It was inspiring to meet such a talented and motivated young individual who is balancing multiple interests while building a career in hospitality. Seeing someone with such dedication, energy, and ambition at a young age was truly impressive.

Shubham appears to be intelligent, hardworking, and focused on personal growth. His willingness to learn, combined with his cheerful personality and professional attitude, makes him stand out. During my recent visit, I noticed that he was not around, and I genuinely missed his presence. Small interactions with employees like him often make a big difference to the guest experience.

I am confident that he has a bright future ahead of him in the hospitality industry. Four Points by Sheraton is fortunate to have such a promising trainee representing the hotel. I wish him all the best for his future and thank him for his kindness, support, and memorable hospitality.
