Marriott should be ashamed of this hotel. Very run down both internally and externally. Feels like a backpacker hostel. Hallways stink, carpets heavily stained.
DO NOT DO LAUNDRY. the form is very misleading. You need to tick the dry cleaning column for regular laundry. We paid 550RMB for a bag.
Dinner was ok. Breakfast was basic.
Bed was comfortable.
La palestra, la stanza grande, i letti comodi, i servizi, la pulizia.
Personale non parla inglese, non c’è il ristorante la sera e non hanno saputo dirmi dove era il più vicino (non parlava inglese), è un po’ vecchia la struttura
A little improvement with staff speaking small amount English. Tea & coffee in rooms but no sugar or milk. Beds okay, fairly quiet. Located in govt district. Tourist attractions 1.5hrs away. Approx $6.00 Aud by Didi to Shaolin Temple & cable cars. Chinese & Western breakfasts. Restaurants within 1km, locals friendly & helpful.
Nice hotel about 45kms out of city. Beds were very comfortable and food acceptable. The indoor swimming pool has been over treated with chlorine.
However the suburb around hotel is calm, safe and with only a few people walking around. Plenty of green spaces among the buildings.
Big hotel. Decor is a bit dated. Carpet could do with a good clean or replacing. Otherwise room was ok. King bed was comfy. Only 2 lifts so be prepared to wait. We found the staff to be friendly. Bar was cheap. Breakfast was the usual mix of Western and Asian with poor quality coffee. We did eat in be restaurant on our first night and it was food. There is an indoor pool and gym.
We spent two nights at this hotel during a tour. It's located 30 minutes from the city by taxi. Although our room was dated, it had the necessary amenities, but the shower needed renovation due to mould. The hotel's restaurant and buffet breakfast were highlights. Nearby were a people's park and numerous dining options, making it suitable for recovery after long tour days. My rating is 3 1/2 stars.
What an absolute dump, room is filthy, minimal facilities, a heater that won't turn off, carpet dirty, stained with cigarette burns, Shower dirty with a build up of soap scum suggest wearing something on your feet if stuck here, toilet dirty. Failed miserably with all the basics
We were happy to finally be in a room that was not stuffy. It was still centrally controlled but it was a little cooler, 20 degrees and there was a window you could open. In the foyer you can buy snacks so you don’t need to walk to the shops/restaurants if you don’t want to.
What started with a lot of promise at the end was a disgrace of poor management, lack of maintenance & basically a complete lack of concern for the guests! The room presented as big with a large comfy bed and we spent two good nights. A good breakfast was served but again with slow coffee as the machines dictate the speed of service. The beer was a tad pricey at the colourful bar, so a quick trip to the local supermarket quickly cured that problem. The hotel prides itself on being modern, bright colours and even robot delivered room service but they let us down badly with their lack of attention to fire safety! A poor performing lift had a mind of its own and it kept ascending without stopping at ground level and repeated this action several times on one use! So I exited the lift mid height and used the fire stairs. Imagine my horror on reaching the exit to find the door blocked & unable to be opened?? To get out of the building I had to go through the kitchen to get to the lobby. How many hotel fires start in the Kitchen?? A lot I would venture! I raised the issue with the Manager but she didn't appear to be concerned? Thankfully it was a not an emergency as I shudder to think what could of happened to the guests if there had been a fire?? Lift your game Aloft!!
Two things let this hotel down.
1. The room was grubby. Although the bedsheets and sink area were clean, there was built-up soap scum on the bathroom walls and all the painted areas needed a good wipe down.
2. The breakfast was low quality. For example, hot food items were only luke warm.
There are plenty of restaurants around with a selection of local foods as well as massage shops and night markets. The Square next door has dancing in the early evenings and there is a nice park and waterway to walk along behind the hotel.
This was my least preferred hotel, food and city during my visit to China. I don’t see any need to return.
Aloft is an International brand; it delivers the quality of the property and location. Rooms are good size and clean and properly ventilated.
As a global brand, it has to be more professional while managing international clients. Please understand that we come from different countries with different languages and cultures. However, the hotel staff members fail to deliver assurance and support.
Stayed 2 nights as part of a tour group which included Breakfast. Breakfast was run of the mill standard. Most options were Chinese.
Located about an hour from the train station which is how we arrived.
Room itself was a little grubby. Stains on the walls, shower was a little questionable. Take jandles or flip flops! Towels were changed daily but I don’t think they “cleaned”. Toilet wobbled.
Pump bottles in shower which did not work! A bar of soap on the vanity was the saviour.
Small fridge, jug with black and green tea selection available. Does have an iron but needs a plug adapter to use.
If this is a Marriot Benvoy hotel then I will cancel my membership. 2 nights in this hotel, disgusting cold breakfast. No, will not recommend. Not sure how I can make 200 characters without slamming the review. I'm sure there are better places.
The hotel is poor, the location is poor, the staff is poor, and hygiene is poor. The hotel has operated for quite some years you can tell the interior starts to wear off. Honestly this area, city, and province, you can't expect anything exceptional. We are offered breakfast but the food is quite disappointing, nothing but local food. It is not a hotel for international guests but a locally operated hotel. The staff are very poorly trained. No English and the guests there are quite impolite I think the hotel aimed to cater to the local people living around for running a banquet. It is highly not recommended if you are looking for some standard to book in this hotel. We don't have a choice as this is the only hotel close to our customers.
