Very good evening meal. They also served us drinks in the bar on arrival , so we could eat some canapes we had just bought in St Omer, which we enjoyed in the bar in the afternoon before our evening meal.

Staff friendliness
Over complicated dinner- nothing vegetarian at all ( except desserts!) as someone with a sweet tooth, there weren’t any desserts that I liked. I understand that it’s good to experiment as a chef ( one of our sons is a chef) however I think to have one veggie friendly option on a menu is, in these times, a bonus. I don’t expect to have to ring in advance these days. However all the inter-course items, plus the bread and our fish main course were tasty.
Location, staff, great. food is fantastic.
The electric charging points were working.
Everything! Beautiful and quiet. Superb food

Very convenient stopover and close to the Tunnel. We have stayed here many times.
Lovely building, very comfortable bedroom and atmospheric Restaurant.
Staff all very professional and friendly.
Breakfast good.
Dinner delicious.
Our shower was a little bit temperamental but that was all.
Het mooie gebouw en de tuin.
Niets
Dinner was poor - the duck was so raw the provided cutlery would not cut through the meat. The menu claimed to be €39 for three courses (with supplements for steak and foi gras ) but we were charged extra for a shared cheese plate instead of the included 2 portion dessert, Charged separately for the one steak, twice for the foi gras - each at a differing charge!
Room 22 was OK but the floor was on slightly differing level to enter the room then into the bathroom - each level about 2 cms, just enough to trip you up in the dark. The WC was in a small cubicle such that a 6ft man had to "squat" slightly to one side!
The dinner and confusing charges . Tripping up in the bedroom

Great place, not far from Calais, with an excellent restaurant.
It's a good idea to clarify with the property whether you want a room inside or outside the chateau, and on the ground floor or an upper floor. Don't leave it to chance, especially in the busy season.
A really beautiful chateau!! Fabulous meal in the gorgeous restaurant and great value for money. 39€ for 3 courses!!!
