The hospitality was amazing. We were there for our sons wedding and stayed 2 nights. They did a fabulous wedding event and should be very proud of themselves 10/10
Our stay was wonderful, however the hotel is very tired and dated
Location
Heating problem with the bathroom otherwise fine
really clean and warm and comfortable
nothing
Very pleasant staff who made us feel very welcome!
Everything was good.
The bedroom was the same one from a previous visit. The reception staff were nice but one of the evening bar staff was a complete nightmare.
Everything went wrong. The person who served me got everything wrong. Gave me the wrong drink. Didn't put my food order through. Making me wait almost an hour before I queried it and they then told me, my order never reached the kitchen. He did apologise but then took my coffee order and never delivered it. They apologised again and I wasn't charged. But basically it ruined my stay this time around.
Staff were fantastic. Breakfast lovely. Nothing was to.much trouble.

Difficult drive to it due to the weather and unlit road but once arrived, check it was a little annoying as no one was at reception due to arriving around 7pm. So had to exit the reception and go across to the pub. Once there, was checked in quickly. Room was old fashioned but clean. Bed super comfy and shower, was the old matrix system but super powerful.
Pub/restaurant area was lovely and homely. I ordered the gammon which was so tasty with proper grilled pineapple. Had a half decent night's sleep but only because I hadn't turned the radiator down so was very warm. Went to breakfast but I wasn't told that this would be served upstairs so was stood downstairs waiting until the chap came down and saw me, a little poor on communication. But, breakfast was lovely, very tasty and good service. I stayed for work as I live in Bury and will definitely stay again. Thanks 😊
As said, the drive late at night when raining and unfamiliar with the area was a little stressful. Staff to not take it for granted that a customer would know where to go for breakfast and make them aware. Otherwise, great stay.
Really, really lovely. We were warm, safe, welcomed, supported in every way. What a super venue. May we especially thank RICHARD who brought our breakfasts [RICHARD 10/10, me 8/10 as we agreed], Nathan the gardener who talked to me about the plants and gave me a cutting, and all cleaning staff. managers, staff on reception, everyone. The room felt like home, with everything we needed. 50 stars, if I could give them.
Lovely setting. Friendly staff.
Just need more staff on at breakfast.
As we were left sitting on a dirty table. Then had to have our breakfast on a dirty table.
Plus they were that busy the forgot our cutlery & drinks.
Plenty of parking
Location, facilities, friendly staff, good beer
1.5 hour wait for dinner, no hash browns or bread at breakfast
We had a very nice stay, very pleased with the room and the location.
2 things, If I had known the main course was going to be on the small side I would have had a starter, could do with being a bit more generous. The waiting time for food, considering how few were there was on the long side. The wait became a particular problem in the morning, my daughter and I waited 50 minutes for our breakfast and people that arrived after us got food before us. I find with many places like this that are clearly really trying to make an effort and provide a much more classy service and higher quality food, often fail on delivery. the place was lovely, the room really nice, the service from the staff, excellent, but waiting 40 minutes to an hour for food is not ok
all good nothing not to like
Staff and food excellent
Bed broken, it had a big hole in the base. Other guests tried to get into our room at night whilst we were in bed.
lovely hotel and lovely staff, really good food
the fact their are not more hotels available like this one
