The abundance of wildlife and good food.
The lodges were old, could hear your neighbors, everything squeaked, all doors needed WD40
Eine wunderschöne Gartenanlage. Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig. Auch das Abendbuffet war mit Poule und Gemüse sehr einfach. Wir haben uns dann für ein Steak A la Carte entschieden, tja Kartoffel waren wohl aus und es gab etwas Gemüse dazu. Ein Steak war es auch nicht...eher ein dünnes Schnitzel. Das Zimmer war gross und schön, die Terasse mit 2Stühlen und einer Hängematte auch sehr einfach. Kein Tisch oder sonstiges. Mit dem was man in La Fortuna alles erleben kann, rentiert sich meiner Meinung nach, so ein teures Hotel nicht.

We did the jungle night tour, the cow milking experience and making chocolate, and it was all fabulous. Loved the tree house feel of the property and how beautiful the pool was. Truely amazing :)
Meal options were a tad expensive - but it is all farm to table :)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. Although it’s located about 25 minutes from the city center, it was absolutely worth it for the peaceful and beautiful setting. The hotel itself is stunning, with spacious and very comfortable rooms that made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights for me was the food. I really appreciated their sustainable approach and the “farm-to-table” concept—it made every meal feel fresh and thoughtful. I also enjoyed the tours offered by the hotel, which added a lot to the overall experience. Overall, a fantastic stay that I would highly recommend!

The farm-to-table food was incredible! The tours, trails and facilities were great! We saw so much interesting wildlife - many sloths, around 30 varieties of birds, agouti, and on the night tour -
an anteater, many cool frogs, toads, insects etc.

Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the grounds were incredible, the staff were exceptional, etc. We enjoyed the chocolate/cocoa experience in particular.

The entire property was gorgeous. We stay there with our three Grandchildren and it was magical. The food was incredible, the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The night tour was so worth it our guide was fabulous and so knowledgeable. Our Grandkids loved it all and wish we’d stayed longer.
It was a long drive and roads can be rough but once you get to Finca Luna it’s so worth it.

I loved their focus on sustainability: they grow their own vegetables, use what they grow, and use local ingredients for breakfast (like milk and cheese from their farm), and the dinner buffet was awesome. You don't find the variety of fresh vegetable dishes out in town, and we loved it so much that we ate there twice for dinner. We also enjoyed that it was in nature and there were some trails on the property. We didn't get to see it, but some people saw a sloth on the tree by the lobby!
We didn't get to stay in the bangalow since those were sold out, so we stayed in the basic room. The wall is very thin, so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. The bed wasn't so comfortable, so that was another thing.
