We had a wonderful stay at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge. Our bungalow was so so cosy, with a big terrasse with a view on the tropical forest. Everything was very clean! The staff was the best part, they were super helpful, called restaurants for us, informed us of menus and prices and were always available and happy to help! We recommend 10/10.
Uns hat die Finca Luna Nueva ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Die weitläufige Anlage liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen – perfekt für Naturliebhaber und um einfach einmal abzuschalten. Gleichzeitig ist La Fortuna mit dem Auto in weniger als einer halben Stunde gut erreichbar. Auf dem großen Gelände kann man viele Tiere beobachten, und auch der Pool ist ein schönes Plus.
Wir haben nicht in einem Bungalow, sondern in einem Zimmer übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, ansonsten aber angenehm, mit Klimaanlage und Mückennetzen an den Fenstern. Vor dem Zimmer gibt es eine sehr große Terrasse mit viel Platz, die man meistens fast für sich allein hat. Dort standen auch ein Kühlschrank und viele Sitzgelegenheiten zur Verfügung.
Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich. Wir haben mehrere Guided Tours direkt auf der Finca gemacht und waren damit sehr zufrieden. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Die Auswahl beim Abendessen ist etwas begrenzt, was zum Farm-to-Table-Konzept passt.
Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Für die Anfahrt mit dem Auto würden wir Waze empfehlen. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort für alle, die Natur, Ruhe und eine persönliche Atmosphäre suchen.

It’s quite a drive to all the attractions
Wonderful lodge, with super spacious room, in the middle of the rainforest, with its own farm and farm to table food, with plenty of wildlife and birds on site. Great swimming pool, too, open 24 hrs. Staff were very kind and the farm workers would stop and show birds every time we encountered them. Super relaxing place. Wish could have stayed more than the two nights we did. The yoga platform fantastic. 15 km - 30 minutes from La Fortuna, so if one needs to be closer to the volcano or the town for more than two days, you might want to consider the distance. We went towards the town and the volcano area on the two days we were there and that was fine.
Nothing not to like about it!
Ein kleines, ruhiges, erholsames Paradies im Dschungel. Man konnte kleine Wanderungen um die Finca herum machen. Besonders die geführte Nachtwanderung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Great place to stay for a family. Great food as well. Staff was super helpful. The room is surrounded by a beautiful nature.
The hotel is bit far most activities (Arenal) which adds another 2 hour drive to any activity.
We hebben een night tour gedaan op het terein van het hotel en dat was prachtig.
Kamers zijn ook prima.
Het ontbijt was niet ons ding.
Family room is very spacious - could easily fit 6 adults - with a nice porch with hammock overlooking the lush jungle. It’s basic but has all luxury you need like a few good beds, fans, airco, insect screens and a fridge and despite it not having a lot of additional decoration it feels cozy. The restaurant, bar and pool area are very large, comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant offers great farm to table a la carte or buffet options and has a great extensive breakfast. All staff is friendly. It’s a tranquil place where we immediately spotted two sloths and a few agouti’s. Night walk is amazing, so much wildlife! It’s really in the jungle, on a large private property but still within half an hour driving of all main attractions of La Fortuna.
Rooms are a bit dark and shower is flooding the bathroom, but that’s minor things for an amazing place like this.
