Hotel Ambience Executive

My 2 month business trip began with a filthy room, with dirty floors, furniture and walls, and hairs in the bathroom and bed.

The entire building has un-screened vents to the outside, and the rooms have openings for fans, both of which allow hordes of mosquitoes to enter in a known disease-carrying region of Pune.

My upper story window looked out over a big grass field used by hundreds of locals as an open air toilette.

The in-house restaurant is vegetarian only. The hotel management let me order from nearby restaurants to add to their menu items and dine there, until the restaurant manager was insulted and refused to serve me. For the next month, they had to bring my food to the room (and the waiters sometimes carried my silverware in their pockets).

Lastly (though I could keep going for pages), I was there to work. I needed internet. WHEN and IF it worked, it was usually slow. But much worse than that, they had a security system that kept flagging my work as pornography - which it was NOT - and blocked my corporate website altogether. The hotel manager had to manually unblock my own website every time.

If that is not bad enough, the front desk was watching my Internet use, through their Internet network, displaying it on their own computer. I caught them while I was streaming music, when I hurried down to the front desk for something only to hear the exact same song I was hearing in my room.

When I learned that the "mud" outside the hotel I had walked through for over a month was actually raw sewage (that I tracked into my room), I had enough.

I tipped the very attentive bellhop, told management to drop dead, and moved to a nearby hotel where everything was perfect and they treated me like royalty.

As an American business traveler, I may have a different level of expectations than locals... but this important multi-month visit to Pune was a truly disgusting experience before relocating.

Value for money,down town, ,clean and good personalised service
Food and beverage services were average and expensive for the portions and quality.
How ever lot of eateries near by make for choicest food all ranges.
Ariculure university and many govt office are raechable by walk or minimum Auto expenses

The banquet hall at 6th floor is excellent, management/staff is courteous, food is excellent. Decorator is very unprofessional. We are very disappointed with decorator as the decoration was not provided as promised.

Me and my family had Went for the dinner, we have order Crispy chicken, chicken Handi, Kabab, Tandoori, Jeera Rice and many more, and we had desert like Ice-cream.
the food was good. We have nice experience with Hotel Ambience.

This hotel needs renovation and feels old inside rooms. View on backside is city buildings very close to windows. Food is good. Bit noisy when parties organized on lower floor. Front office staff is courteous and gives prompt attention.

Probably on dog the best pure veg restaurant in Pune, especially the western side of Pune. I mention western side since it is quite famous for bad food and service. This place is amazing whether u order online or visit this place. Never disappointed.

Attended Birthday Party in Novemeber. We were on fifth floor. The place is good for a gathering of upto 80 people. Its clean and arranged well.

The food specially the starters and soup was good. We tried Hara bhara kababs, Spring roll, monchow soup , paneer dish and dal makhani.

Creamy corn soup and dessert were worth a mention

In terms of stay, it is more like a service apartment rather than a hotel. No wallet parking, slow reception liker classic times. Rooms though very spacious
, but not really like a hotel. Washroom smelled more like hospitals. The bed was so big and somewhat uncomfortable that its corners were hitting the leg on walking along its side or getting down. Room service was excellent on restaurant part. The food was exceptionally good and matched the standards of five star. Even the breakfast buffet was really delicious. But in terms of amenities, room service is really bad, like we asked for the iron but we had to wait for long due to less number. Also, the wifi facility is really bad. On the day of checkin, we were not able to access it, as the password provided was not working and there was no technician to help us out. I would say an average stay.

We ordered manchow soup and bed platter and chef paneer kebabs for starters .
Masala papad also.
Mains were paneer and veg bhuna .
Everything was just superb
Roti and kulcha disappointed a bit .
Food and service was just excellent .
There is buffet too . We didn't use . Staff were excellent .
Prices were appropriate . Bill was Rs 2000

Worth going for Good food .

We had reached the hotel at 9:30pm at night. The man at the desk said that the hotel rooms were full. However, a second person, whose name we discovered later to be Mr. Hussain, turned up and magically discovered a room (305) which could be given to us. Much later at night we discovered that one of the walls of the room was damp, as was portions of the floor. Fortunately, none of us are asthmatic or we would be in trouble.

When we talked about this to Mr. Hussain in the morning, he feigned ignorance and not the least apologetic about the condition of the room.

Even though the location is bit far away from the major city the hotel to stay is awesome. Best room service, well furnished rooms, the bathrooms are total hygiene, breakfast is delicious. There is also a free wi-fi- facility and laundry service in this hotel. Also has 24hr check-in facility.

It has one of the best Rooms / Suits available compared to entire hotels across pune. The best in dine and Hall is also available for Business purpose or any function. The rooms are too good with 2 simultaneous working Lifts.

Rooms are very good from inside with meeting area, Fridge, Electronic Lockers and Bath tubs attached in Bathrooms running down hot and cold water all the time.

Tioletaries are supplied and maintained cleanliness.

Different types of rooms are available as per your requirement.

Only 1 Concern as informed they are purely Veg serving Hotel.

Great rooms. Nice hot water coming through. The vegetarian restaurant also has good choices. Just ensure they know that Jains do not eat onion/garlic/carrots/potatoes, etc. since they did bungle the food here twice. Went here for 3 days for a wedding party and even with all the additional work the staff was always cordial and attentive to everyone's needs. Very impressed by both the service and comfort and spaciousness of the rooms.

We are regular at this place and have seen food quality deterioration in last few years and service has also gone down.

Earlier staff used to be attentive and food quality was too good. We went to celebrate Bday there but not at all happy with the food - we would give it a skip moving forward.

Stayed a night. Its quite run down place. Shower curtain had mold, everything is old including a tiny flatscreen and a regular TV from 80's. You can get only one room key card. plates etc in breakfast were plastic type thats been in use at least ten years it seemed.

I'll start off with the positives , because there are so few :
1) the bed was comfortable , the room clean
2) the room service food was acceptable to my stomach ,unlike the surrounding restaurants

Now for the why I gave 1/5:
-I have to look at this experience with Western eyes, because this is by no means a "travellers hotel" at 4000 rupis pp/pn. At this price you expect big things on India.
-The area , Pimpri Chinchwad is terrible, its only upside is a short 30 minute commute to the many IT cities around Pune. It's downsides are a minimum 1 hour ride to anywhere else in the city and having nothing to do in the area.
-The bathroom in my first room had bugs in the bath and no water pressure, as well as having to *call reception* if I want hot water... Which I only got once in my 6 night stay! I did change to a room with no bugs and water pressure, but still no hot water.
Other little things that upset me as a guest: WiFi speed was around 1-2 mbps, this meant I could hardly get any work done. Some nights there were VERY LOUD parties that felt like they were INSIDE my room.
And the breakfast was minimal at best, the only edible items for me were toast with butter and water.

I know there are worst places to stay in and maybe this place wouldn't have gotten such a low score if I hadn't started in much nicer hotels for same and cheaper days before. But I will not reccomed this hotel to anyone who is going to work in pune.

I have stayed here for 3 weeks along with my family. Pretty nice & spacious rooms. Staff is friendly and co-operative. Food is nice but not too many options in breakfast. Quality & taste is ok. Needs improvement in room service. Thanks to the hotel staff to make our stay pleasant. overall its a good value for money option

The room was clean. Reception staff was exceptionally polite. Restaurant staff had a little difficulty understanding english, but communication did not breakdown. overall, great hotel, excellent staff. good location.

I begin my note with a Thanks to Ambience Executive Staff for making my stay comfortable, staff were courteous and welcoming, This is my first visit to Ambience Executive hotel on business travel, Check in was smooth and was offered executive room at first floor, room was quite big, which was had a smart partition to separate bed from the hall only thing i didn't like was the room cleanliness it looked as it was made up in a hurry and some petals lying in the corner. toilets were clean and big. The restaurant serves only pure vegetarian which is a plus for veggie lovers, their buffet breakfast is good and has wide choices
