⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely perfect stay – wonderful service and fantastic breakfast!
Pros:

We had an exceptional stay at The Tontine Hotel in Peebles from start to finish, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Samuele at reception made us feel so welcome – he was warm, friendly, incredibly helpful, and went out of his way to assist with every request, from local recommendations to arranging our travel onward. His professional yet genuine service truly set the tone for a brilliant visit.

The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious – a wonderful selection of high-quality, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes, with plenty of choice for all tastes. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the service in the dining room was just as attentive and friendly throughout.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely location, with staff who really care about their guests. We will definitely be returning!

Tontine Hotel perfect for a stay in beautiful Peebles
Pros:

Tontine is so conveniently placed in the High Street, lots of shops and cafes all around and the River Tweed behind the hotel for a stroll.
Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Service was 1st class. Beds, sheets and towels were pristine and the room was serviced daily.
Food was good but could offer more choice.
The lift was a must for my 92 year old mum.

Cons:

There was nothing I didn’t like about the hotel.

Highly recommend
Pros:

We stayed here for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room had a beautiful view out to the river tweed, it was also clean, spacious and had a very comfortable bed (we both suffer from back pain so a comfortable bed is a must). I recommend trying some cocktails as we did in the afternoon. We ate elsewhere in the evening but really enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. Friendly and efficient staff serving and a very good number of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a lovely time and wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future

3 day break with dog
Pros:

Stayed here with our dog for 3 nights. Hotel location is great with front access direct to town centre and back door access to the river and parkway which was great for the dog.
Rooms were good.. clean, tidy and spacious.

Special mention to Laura on Reception who was excellent from point of booking direct on telephone to our leaving. Laura was friendly, helpful and professional at all times.

Breakfast was a slight let down with improvements needed on food (cold on some occasions) and service which could have been more attentive.

Pros:

Central location for shopping and scenic walks also very polite and friendly staff.

Cons:

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room to keep bottled water cold as it was extremely hot weather during our stay. Everything else was lovely.
