There is no elevator in the property, but there are 4 rooms located on the ground floor should guests require them. Subject to availability by prior request.

Idea location to explore York from a lovely hotel.
Pros:

Very close to the train station. Lovely friendly staff. Spacious room, everything you need provided.

Cons:

We didn’t get a chance to use all the facilities but the outdoor area and spa looked lovely as did the restaurant.

Pros:

The room we were given was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable with good quality bedding. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The spa facilities were an added bonus at an extra cost. The outside lounge area was very relaxing and peaceful. Parking was an extra cost but well worth it and we were able to extend parking to midnight on the day of departure, which meant we could have an extra shopping day. The location was ideal - only 10 mins walk into Town. Early check in was also a good advantage.

Cons:

We booked breakfast, but it wasn't brilliant for the cost. We ordered scrambled egg on toast but we got an omelette on toast, which was very dry, we also had to chase the pot of tea as it never arrived. The room was very warm, due to the sun being on the front of the building - it could do with a fan as we had to keep the curtains closed to keep the sun out, so we had no air blowing around. The dressing table could do with a stool. We struggled to fill the kettle as the sink was tiny so had to use glasses to fill it up. A fridge in the room would be an advantage but we did take a cool box to keep our drinks cool.

Comfortable stay , close to city
Pros:

Excellent location. Clean facilities and polite staff . Great breakfast.

Cons:

The standard bed was on the smaller side . Our room was in the loft .We had booked months in advance so we were expecting slightly bigger room on a lower floor for the price we paid .
The bathroom was too small . I hurt myself on the sink while trying to wipe myself after stepping out of the shower . I was with my daughter and we both are of small stature so we managed , but cannot imagine a taller adult to be able to move about in the room

Beautiful boutique hotel in a central location run impeccably.
Pros:

Very friendly team running the hotel. Bedroom was very comfortable and spacious with fantastic views over the rooftops. We were on the top floor and there are no lifts but it kept us fit getting up the stairs! Luxurious with a friendly feel. Will definitely return.

Cons:

I liked everything. It was a wonderful place to stay and we slept incredibly well.

Lovely little spot just outside the walls. Great location. Tasty breakfast. Luxury bathroom, comfortable room. Great little find.

Loved the location. The room was lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly. First class service and the breakfast was yummy. 😋

Cons:

The spa, while clean and efficient was lacking.
The only downside and something that I thought was very cheeky was the £18 to park my car in the hotel car park. If we were parking on a public car park ok but not on the site of the hotel.
Although we'll probably stay again.

A spacious, comfortable family base in York - well located for the station and a great breakfast.
Pros:

We stayed in a family suite with two rooms and were really pleased with the space - a great size, with very comfortable beds and plenty of furniture to put everything away. It made an excellent base for exploring York. The hotel is also close to the train station, which we really appreciated with luggage in tow. We made good use of the exercise room, which was very convenient to have on-site. Breakfast was great and the service throughout our stay was excellent.

Cons:

The only thing we missed was air conditioning. Coming from the US during an unusually hot spell in UK, the rooms got quite warm, and some cooling would have made the stay more comfortable.
