We enjoyed our stay in a hotel steeped in history in a charming town.
Pros:

Location was good, building has lots of character and excellent breakfast.

Very small room and tiny shower room. Bedroom on first floor shower and toilet on ground floor. Very steep steps.

Great value ideally situated hotel
Pros:

Staff were polite and extremely helpful and efficient. Position of the hotel & proximity to shops etc could not be bettered.
Breakfast and dinners were served promptly and were hot and tasty.
Bedroom was clean and fresh with a great view of the square.
Overall, very good value

Cons:

Only a small criticism in that we were right at the top of the hotel which meant climbing the extremely steep 500yr old steps. Bearing in mind I use a stick for support and even though it was pointed out I used one when checking in, it was just bypassed in the conversation.. Perhaps this should be mentioned to guests allocated rooms 9-11.

Location is fantastic, room upgrade was great and appreciated.

Cons:

Didn't find the staff to be engaged. The breakfast that was included was extremely disappointing, it was cold and I don't believe the bacon was freshly cooked. Other diners at breakfast had to ask to have their bake beans heated up.
We chose to have breakfast elsewhere and paid for it instead.
Our dinner the night before was average.

Lovely experience, would very much recommend
Pros:

A beautiful quaint place, in a great location and with super friendly service.

Cons:

Not in any way the fault of the hotel or staff - as a very old building, some of the ceilings and doorways are very low and not the easiest to navigate as a tall guy!

Central and close to market square. Friendly staff and very good breakfast.

Cons:

The stairs are very very steep and difficult to bring the big bags up to room.
