The Kings Arms boasts all the charm you'd expect from a Cotswold hotel and pub, with oodles of quirky character thrown in. Cosy, comfortable accommodation, a refreshing drink, and top quality, freshly prepared locally sourced food.

Important information:

Please be aware that when booking a stay with The Kings Arms Hotel, due to its nature and age, the building has many stairs, some of which are very steep. As a result, it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Please call the Hotel if you think this might cause an issue. The Hotel staff will always do what they can to accommodate your needs.

Please note that all rooms except the Triple Room can only be accessed via steep stairs and are located on the second floor. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Wonderful stay!
Pros:

We were in room 8, it is up in the gods, a fair old climb, especially the last flight of stairs, that said i was pre-warned before booking about them, and TBH the building is 500 years old! The room was clean and warm, had Tea/coffee/kettle/TV/Arm chair/hair dryer etc.. There was a small bathroom, with bath and hand held shower attachment. Watch out for the beams... lost count amount of times i bashed my head!!
We only stayed 2 nights, the breakfast was excellent... with something for all. we also had an evening meal, booking a table is essential as its very popular here.
The staff are fantastic, nothing is 'Too much' for them.

Cons:

We're no spring chickens... so the stairs took some navigating... but as i said we were informed... so not a complaint, just an observation.
Parking is available, its tight but with care should present no problem, not many spaces, so its first come first served.

A charming and unforgettable stay in Stow-on-the-Wold
Pros:

Everything about our stay at The Kings Arms was absolutely wonderful!

Staying here feels like stepping straight into a tale. The building is full of character and charm, with such a warm and cosy atmosphere, and the location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of beautiful Stow-on-the-Wold.

A special mention goes to the chef with the magnificent moustache, who made us the most delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast! Such a lovely little detail that made our stay even more memorable.

We truly enjoyed every moment and would absolutely love to come back. A wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend!

Bekamen Zimmer 7. Es war groß und sauber.
Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut.

Cons:

- Großer Minuspunjt waf der rm bis 10-halb 11 Abends im Restaurant. Unser Zimmer war direkt neben der Restaurant Tür. Um 10 wurden dort nochmal alle Tische fürs Frühstück herumgerückt. Niemand von uns konnte bis alles fertig war schlafen. War mit Kleinkind der Horror.

Cons:

We ordered breakfast but didn’t receive the correct order, waitress was not very responsive although she was managing the room on her own.

Shower door had come off its runners, was leaking on the floor and the shower was dirty. The toilet macerator was continuously going off throughout the night.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the village, this historic hotel takes you back in time. We had a family room, large and very comfy. Great staff across the board and very nice breakfast. Would recommend The Kings Arms to any travellers looking for a great place to stay.

Great location, friendly staff but noisy room

Cons:

We stayed in the Warren room 7. The room was large and fully appreciate that the property is listed and was built hundreds of years ago. However the double bed mattresses tilted in the middle making it difficult to sleep. The single bed mattress was very uncomfortable with little support. (seemed a budget mattress). The toilet has a saniflow system (macerator) again understandable if the property is very old with perhaps problematic pipework. However this meant that every time anyone in the upstairs bedrooms used the toilet or basin, the saniflow made a loud noise. This meant that we were woken up throughout the night and early morning. There were ear plugs provided in the bedside cabinet which I assume were meant to help mitigate the problem.Breakfast was OK although we found it strange that we had to pay for any coffee such as cappuccino or latte as we had our breakfast included for our stay.
