It is an older property. Everything is very clean. Buffet breakfast was excellent. One woman at front desk was pretty brusque, almost unfriendly.
Kind staff. Sat by the pool with my dog.
The cleaness, breakfast and attention is excelent.
The matresses needs to be changed is hard as a rock, but everything else is 5 star!.

We love staying here and being able to travel with our dog and cat. These accommodations are perfect and clean and we never have any issues while staying here and that staff is very attentive and wonderful.

Overall wonderful stay! The rooms are apartment style with a decent kitchenette. The space was a little outdated, however very clean! Our room had 2 full bathrooms.
We were only here for one, rainy night but the property was excellent. We stayed here to be closer to the airport, for an afternoon flight and as such, this hotel is above and beyond. The room was perfect to get cleaned up from our adventures with modern amenities like strong water pressure and practically sound proofed windows. The included breakfast was also well stocked with a warm service staff. Checkin and checkout was seamless and we're sad we didn't get to enjoy the heated, clean pool. The Santa Ana neighborhood is VERY upscale compared to traveling across the jungles, beaches and volcano areas, but you can still find local spots away from the main roads. Just plan for traffic...it's approx 15mi from the airport, but Waze had estimates from 30min to 1hr 15min.
This was my 8th visit to Villas Del Rio .
I love that it’s always a welcoming, clean and safe oasis with close walking distance to shops and restaurants in Escazu .
Mauricio and the entire staff and crew are always so kind and helpful and truly do their very best to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
The included breakfast buffet is consistently delicious and offers a wide assortment of options . The heated pool and Jacuzzi are very nice. They also offer a free Airport pick up and drop off. It’s always a pleasure to stay at Villas Del Rio. Will be returning again soon to my home away from home in Escazu .

The rooms are lovely and spacious. The staff is helpful and kind. The pools are awesome. Breakfast delicious.

Beautiful pool! Large apartment was comfortable. Big bathrooms with large showers. The furniture and overall appearance was dated, but clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. We loved the friendly employees and would gladly return to stay again.
The accommodation was ideal for a family by offering a living room, kitchen, and 2 separate bedrooms with individual bathrooms. Internet access was steady and breakfast options were good.
Kitchen amongst other things makes this an especially attractive rental.

They handled several complaints with great respect, concern, and care. Very accommodating. The breakfast is hearty. I have stayed here before several times and liked the bathtubs. I was disappointed they have removed most bathtubs.
