Great location for the wineries. Peaceful and relaxing with a comfy bed.

Very comfortable bed, spa was great, location was close to everything. The room was slightly dated.
Pros:

Location was perfect, the loft king was really good

Cons:

Carpet in room 5 is in desperate need of replacement. Walls were paper thin, loud guests next door made it hard to sleep, also no privacy on the shared back verandah, hard to enjoy the beautiful vines and scenery.

This is a great option to visit the Hunter Valley. Just don't order the breakfast.
Pros:

Overall great lodge, in an excellent location, if you have a car (which is essential if you're visiting the Hunter Valley, anyway). You can go for a walk and see wallabies and canguroos
Although the premises are not new, the rooms are very spatious and comfortable, and the cellar in front, First Creek, is one of the best to visit in the valley (you get a free voucher for a wine tasting).

Cons:

The breakfast option is pointless. It's better to just get breakfast in town, which will be a lot better for a lot less.
Although overall clean, there were a few noticeable weak spots that should have been better.

Lovely quiet few nights away.
Pros:

Having the restaurant on site is great and the property was gorgeous.

Cons:

That the rooms aren’t serviced (just eg having coffee mugs and glasses refreshed).
Also for 2 girls in a twin room, it was very small - the beds were only cm’s apart.

Great location had a room with and outdoor whirlpool bath. Great location!

The outside decking area was a little dated- could do with a touch up but apart from that great stay

outside tub, very nice receptionist, vouchers to some wineries were nice.
There was a washing machine in the complex.

Cons:

It may be helpful to keep bug spray in the room. There was a little roach in the bathroom.

Pleasant enough, but they could do better
Pros:

Good central location for most of the Hunter Valley regions. Pleasant surroundings. Rooms were nice and cool with air-conditioning and fans.

Cons:

While the unit was generally clean and tidy, the ceilings were covered in cobwebs and there was definitely deferred maintenance issues including holes in the Curtains, and poor exterior cladding which was rotten and allowed insects into them. Could hear insects buzzing in the walls in the mornings. No room service at all and closing hours at 5 pm meant that it was difficult to get additional milk or room services after a day out in the region.
