The staff was extremely hospitable, also as regards our dog and even gave him cookies and a present during our stay.

Le site où a été construit l'hôtel est remarquable : un beau domaine avec un parc magnifique et un château plein de caractère. C'est ce cadre somptueux qui m'a poussé à réserver. Le personnel a été charmant, le bâtiment moderne qui abrite la plupart des chambres est bien conçu et se fond à merveille avec le bâtiment historique (château) et le parc.
Le point faible de cet hébergement fut la literie : catastrophique! Quel gâchis, parce qu'avec une literie digne de ce nom, la note aurait été très très bonne. On attend d'un hôtel (quel qu'il soit) que les lits soient confortables. En l'occurrence, ici, les matelas se déformaient (on tombait dans les creux formés par le poids du corps!), je ne sais pas comment ils s'y sont pris pour acheter des matelas d'aussi mauvaise qualité. Du coup, nous avons tous mal dormi. Encore une fois, quel dommage! Le restaurant est pas mal mais sans plus.
The sprawling campus took our heart away. It was so calm and serene an ambiance that we fell in love with the property within minutes. We took long walks within the property, through the woods, grounds at the back, checking on the sheep, bees and birds around the campus. We saw rabbits and squirrels too. It was splendid! You can't find a better place close to nature yet so close to the city of Maastricht. It is only a 10 minute walk to the bus stop near Maastricht North station, and bus 10 takes you to the city centre in 15 minutes. Uber also knows the place pretty well in case you want to get a late transport. Special mention to the staff and their warm hospitality. We loved our interaction starting at check-in till the last day of our stay. We found nooks and corners in the property that are pretty secluded even during the busiest of times, and you can unwind completely on your own if you want. Although the property is dog friendly and you see many guests bring their dogs with them, you can occasionally catch a glimpse of the house cat, Mia. We were fortunate to spend a lazy evening with her in the backyard near the fish pond -- absolute bliss! The room was quite spacious and well appointed. The overall cleanliness of the property is spectacular. We loved our stay and will choose this place every time we are in Maastricht.
The only downside of the property for us was the limited option for food. The onsite bistro offers a limited menu, and is only accessible by reservation. If you miss any, there are no other good places around the property for a quick bite. It would have been nice to have a snack bar or quick bites available in addition to the restaurant. The breakfast, although has many options, was not the best at this price point. However, that is the only option available as the bistro does not serve breakfast. Apart from the food options, we have no complaints at all.
De ligging en je kunt er heerlijk wandelen met je hond. Ook bij het ontbijt zag ik honden. Zou willen pleiten voor een aparte ruimte dichtbij de ontbijtruimte voor baasjes en honden vanwege de hygiëne. Niet iedereen zit natuurlijk op een hond te wachten bij het ontbijt.
