Friendly staff and great bar
Fantastic smiley helpful staff
Very relaxing stay, staff were lovely
All honesty horrible stay one member off staff made it terrible so rude and the second night off stay our room was smoked filled with a 9 month old baby with us wee had to get fans from the reception to clear the smoke from room shocked to say the least shame because such nice grounds and views most of the staff are nice except one individual made it horrible and we were all woke up with the smoke in room from 11:30 pm to around 2:30 am
Hotel was lovely as was the lodge we stayed in, grounds were very clean and the staff were very pleasant. Inside the lodge was clean but there was a LOT of spider webs. I understand the lodges are in the country side but those webs had been there a long time they were caked in dust. There was 3 spiders in the bathroom and a couple in the sitting room which we didn't appreciate but that was the only downside great stay other than that.
Good
Stunning property in a beautiful location. Really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent menu and the food was superb - dinner and breakfast - with great allergy options too (GF). Will definitely revisit
Lovely hotel. The spa was great not too busy restaurant and bar so cosy. Planning to go back soon.
I had booked my stay on Experia which was not as I thought when I got to hotel lady on reception sorted this out in a flash with manager
Hotel staff could not do enough for you at breakfast spa area cafe treatment area all great we stayed in the lodges very well set out spacious and comfortable
All staff we encountered, were extremely helpful and friendly, and dinner and breakfast was fine. Unfortunately our room wasn't worth the money we paid.
Sofa bed very uncomfortable
Second time here and will come back! Comfortable bed, amazing spa area and nice restaurant!
Room was a superior. It need updating, the carpet was old looking as well as the furniture. The bathroom has been slightly updated with modern tiles. The bath panel is old wood and getting in and out of the shower is a challenge due to the width and height. Feel there could have been a few wee extras just to make it live up to the superior status. The pool and spa area are good. The restaurant didnt have any of the red wine in stock that we asked for, which was disappointing. The staff are great all really professional and friendly at the same time. We've been at the Bowfield many times over the years but sadly this will probably be our last.
Nice stay
The staff was fantastic! From the front desk to the young lady who runs breakfast by herself, everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were very nice and we enjoyed the dining room and the bar.
We upgraded and went for a cabin with hot tub 😀 was a very pleasant stay. Staff were lovely
Great staff, very clean and comfortable. Food excellent and the spa and pool are fantastic.
The staff were great with my daughter who has multiple allergies. The staff all new every allergy and were very helpful especially Katy and Orla.
The only thing I was disappointed with was I booked a 2 night stay and wasn’t allowed to use the outdoor hot tub as I hadn’t booked a treatment which I feel wasn’t fair considering the amount of money I had spent in the hotel.
Just stayed for one night.
The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
The food was good and the overall atmosphere was really good. They were busy but the staff were attentive and helpful.
Really enjoyed our stay
The place itself is great. However, they do a big fail on smaller but essential items easily rectified. For instance my father ordered a burger and it took 40 minutes to turn up, which was cold and bland. The chips were cold and mash potato too. During break fast the items always look a little tired and they use that god awful fake scrambled eggs everyone hates to save pennies and Tesco cheap as chips bread…. When it should be bespoke sourdough to reflect the quality of the hotel. Also sometimes the servers just didn’t care or would say drop toast off and run off and you’ll be chasing them for butter and cutlery. We have noticed these patterns over multiple nights and staff so wasn’t one off moments. Which is a shame because the venue itself is absolutely amazing. If they can focus on the kitchen and service they will nail it.
