An unexpectedly wonderful stay filled with genuine hospitality, delicious food, and authentic
Pros:

We honestly didn’t expect much from this hotel, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our Normandy trip. The owners are incredibly welcoming—two wonderful brothers who made us feel like guests rather than customers. They even invited us to dinner, which was absolutely delicious and served in a beautiful, authentic medieval atmosphere.

The room was small but full of character, with thoughtful details everywhere. I especially loved the artwork throughout the room. The owners even helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which was such a kind gesture.

The location was also perfect for exploring Normandy. The village itself is tiny but charming, and it became one of our favorite unexpected stops. This place has a warmth and authenticity that’s hard to find.

Cons:

Nothing really to dislike. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to expand the breakfast menu a little. The coffee and croissants were lovely, but for travelers spending the whole day exploring Normandy, a more substantial breakfast would be greatly appreciated. Considering how outstanding the dinner and the chef’s cooking are, adding options like omelets or eggs with local cheeses and cured meats would make the experience even more exceptional.

Acceptable but it could be better
Pros:

The room was clean and OK in general. But the hotel was noisy because some guests talked loud and made noise bumping things on the floor until after midnight (1 a.m). There is nobody -the hotel personnel- to check and stop such behavior and to ensure quiet and rest for all guests!
Although the hotel offers free parking-and I was grateful for this amenity- after a single night I found my car full of dried, hard to clean pigeon droppings (faeces, i.e guano, i.e. poop)! The place where cars are parked has a lot of pigeons nests under the roof and nobody cares to take adequate measures to get rid of the birds! I had to work a lot to wash may car manually, because mechanic washing was not efficient to detach the solid poop crust

Cons:

The noise, both in our apartment and in the apartment above the wooden floors that creak!

Authentiek hotel op goede locatie.
Pros:

Goed authentiek Frans hotel op een zeer goede locatie, kort bij de landingsstranden. Ontbijt was niet uitgebreid maar voor een correcte prijs. Je kan lekker eten in het restaurant, aan een goede prijs.

Cons:

Weinig kastruimte in onze kamer.

Perfectly authentic French small hotel.
Pros:

A lovely hotel in a great location. Very clean. It’s unusual with lots of pieces of art around. Lots to look at. We had a lovely room and slept really well. The food in the restaurant was really good and breakfast was continental only but perfectly adequate.
