Breakfast too pricey ($A40 per head). Swimming pool facility was good but was unaware of it until late in stay.
Supply of fresh towel in laundry was good, however, didn't know about until end of stay.
Room 43 - needs to be sprayed for brown cockroaches.
Needs a toaster - NO reason for not having one, other than owner desire for us to use their dining facilities.
No replacement rubbish bin liners.
Need directions about where to empty rubbish bin.
Central Location, quiet and comfortable
Shower
Bear to the town and have restaurant always open
The room haven’t properly clean for a long time. It was mouldy. The room smells of mould, lots of cockroaches.
Fabulous staff and beautiful grounds.
Cabins are outdated and need renovations from furniture to bedding to shower facilities.
I was a bit concerned initially that internet was not available in all the cottages. However, the staff were marvellous in locating a lodge where it was available flawlessly. Thank you very much indeed.
See above re wifi.
I liked the one bedroom apartments. The restaurant had very good food and the nightly happy hour was enjoyable
Rooms starting to show their age. No shelf space in the bathroom and very little space around the basin. Pillows too soft.
Sofa beds do not make comfortable couches in a "deluxe suite"
No toasters in the rooms and the excuse for this is not acceptable.
Restaurant at the Governors is overrated.
Breakfast in the dining space is very good but the staff are all young backpackers who would rather be somewhere else.
If location is of paramount importance this is a go-to destination, otherwise, assess your options ....
I would stay at the Governors Lodge again. The staff are great, helpful and friendly. The cabins are basically a small house and very comfortable. The pool was good. If you have a car you park outside your cabin and the lodge can organise your car hire for you.
Tour coaches stop outside reception. Bailey's restaurant is slightly upmarket with delicious food.
The only negative is no free wifi and the paid wifi isn't stable. It's a walk into Burnt Pine township but no problem if you're fit.
When i checked out i was not made to feel like i mattered the staff member just took my card and handed it back, no conversation at all. I left feeling deflated
no free wifi no toaster
Was very clean and the pool was great. The grounds were also lovely and it’s a short walk to the Main Street. Would have scored higher but for the extortionate WiFi costs
Charge for WiFi! In 2024! Have travelled to all continents and not been charged for WiFi, anywhere….. it’s just a tax on your captive customers. Taking the mick
Food In Bailey’s really good. No free wifi or aircon. Although the fans did the job, as it wasn’t too hot, so not necessarily a complaint! Staff friendly and mostly very helpful
Great place to stay staff incredibly helpful Baileys restaurant excellent. Would certainly stay here again
Staff...accommodation....food....tours
The rooms are a little dated and the high humidity made it a little uncomfortable
proximity, great staff, lovely cottage.
