We choose a deluxe room and it was really nicely appointed. We enjoyed the coffee/tea station in the room. The bathroom was clean and bright and a seperate bathtub is always a plus! Great black out curtains. Comfortable bed and nice bed linens. This was my first Van der Valk stay and I found it to be great value for money. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was really good! All in all a very enjoyable stay. Also lots of electric car charger places in the parking lot.
We were on the third floor, facing the highway. The windows are smaller then on other floors so the room is somewhat dark. We didn't spend much time in the room so it wasn't an issue. They were doing work on the road directly in front of the hotel and the workers communicated with each other by honking their horns. This was slightly annoying at the time but was a once off issue.
