Palazzina Grassi

I found the epitome of elegance in the boutique hotel of Venice, Palazzina Veneziana. Everything was marvellous, from the unique interior design by renowned architect Philippe Starck to the quality of the sheets, the warmth of the staff, and the memorable views of the boats passing by… we made it a tradition to spend at least a night there every year, as should every Italian citizen and newcomer to Italy.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff, rooms and food was exceptional. The atmosphere was realaxing, refined and we loved the design!

The moment we were picked up by the water taxi at the train station and taken straight to the hotel’s private dock, the stay already felt special. The team personally looked after us throughout, and the boutique charm of the property delivered everything you’d expect from a chic Venetian palazzo.

The location is absolutely perfect — tucked into a quiet corner with a taqueria nearby, yet just a quick walk to both San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge. The area is dotted with lovely shops, restaurants, and places locals actually enjoy.

We truly wished we had stayed an extra night. A wonderful experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Venice.

This hotel was a special unique experience. Everything was top notch, from the service to the comfort and cleanliness of the room (we even had our own private terrace patio!) to the food. The staff was so warm welcoming and helpful. Our every whim was catered to. Our stay at the Palazzina Grassi will be a big part of our wonderful memory of our Venetian weekend.

I must admit I am a hotel snob when I travel. The hotel is as much of the total experience as the places I visit. From the moment I booked to arrival and departure the experience was top notch! The hotel staff are the best in the business, I have never felt so taken care of and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world. We arrived to warm greetings and immediately were checked in and taken to our petite but absolutely luxurious rooms!! Each morning we were greeted by our names and served the most wonderful breakfast and each night we spent hours at the bar with two amazing bartenders who mixed some of the best old fashions and aperol spritz we have ever had. The front desk staff booked water taxi services for us which arrived at the hotel dock and seamlessly took us where we needed to go. I absolutely cannot describe how wonderful our stay was in such a short review. We will be back.

It was beautifully decorated, unique and the staff was excellent.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such kindness. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special, with warm greetings and thoughtful touches throughout. The furnishings were whimsical and cool, which made everything even more memorable. It truly felt more like staying with family than just a hotel.

The property is stunning but the staff is what sets this hotel above all the rest. From pre-arrival to check out the staff was over the top! I can’t say enough about the service. Can’t wait for my next visit to this fabulous property.

It was a wonderful property. Easy to get to by water taxi or by water bus. Very friendly staff and concierge. Very clean rooms and close proximity (walking) to almost anything you need! Highly recommend

Beautiful hotel with an exceptional staff! Our water taxi dropped us off at the entrance of the hotel - so special! - and the staff provided 5-star service from the moment through our departure. Their kindness and attention was so appreciated. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the restaurant/bar and terrace were perfect areas to begin and end our days. We also loved that the hotel was tucked away in a quiet part of the city but only a 10-15 minute walk from shopping, restaurants and St. Mark’s Square.

We LOVED this hotel for so many reasons: 1) it's clean, comfy, beautiful, spacious, bright 2) beds are the most comfortable of any hotel we've stayed in Italy 3) the lounge/restaurant/bar is amazing - Michaele and Felipo are just fantastic - as is the food/bevs served 4) location was perfect 5) front desk referred me to Chiesa di San Salvador for the most incredible Catholic mass ever 6) the staff/service was top notch - second to none. We would stay here again and again! Thank you to all for such a memorable stay - we cannot wait to come back!

This hotel is wonderful in many respects. The pre-arrival communications were excellent and our greeting on arrival by boat made us feel super welcome. And the staff were all wonderful throughout the short stay.
The property is well located in a slightly quieter part of Venice, which is a very easy walk to all the main sights. We appreciated the location greatly.
The hotel is immaculately well presented. Clean, well maintained and really cared for. A delicious breakfast too.
Starck’s design vernacular really lends itself to Venice and its glass.
The room, with terrace, was really lovely. The only slight negative was a mattress that felt below the quality of the property. It felt cheap, tired and lacking support.
But overall, a really excellent stay.

Great customer service! Beautiful hotel

We had a great stay. The staff here are the best. 10 out of 10 on routine requests and 11 out of 10 on extraordinary requests. Arranged last minute seamless transfers and arrival when our train terminated at an earlier station than the expected one. Helped find a dock last minute to accommodate my family's physical needs getting into a booked Gondola. Went out of their way to ensure we had an experience we will remember the rest of our lives.

The Palazzina Grassi is a chic hotel, in a great location with the most helpful and welcoming staff. We had a fabulous stay. We had a beautiful room with a very pleasant terrace. The hotel common areas are comfortable and attractive. The restaurant is exceptional. Great breakfast. We did the market experience with the chef and had a memorable experience and the meal of a lifetime, I highly recommend doing it. So glad we choose the Grassi and hope we get to stay there again.
