I think this is what a six-star hotel is like
Pros:

The hotel is in the middle of the park, and all the activities are within short distance. If you are into trekking and exploring Patagonia, this is for you.

The hotel has activities and excursions fitting all ages and abilities; and there are lots of activities to choose from. You always go in small groups with a guide, and their guides are young, energetic, friendly and really know their park well.

The food at the restaurant is right up there with high end restaurant in cities.

The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful; I had problems with airline coming in, and they would help track everything down, gave me update everyday until everything was sorted.

Being all inclusive, you really just need to bring your clothes and trekking shoes (they provide trekking poles too) and you are all set. They even give everyone a water bottle as a welcome gift.

Beautiful view!
Pros:

The most beautiful view from any hotel I've ever been. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but for the price, I was expecting perfection and I found the food just okay, the restaurant service lacking, and just not up to the standard one would expect for the price. The guides were enthusiastic and most were extremely knowledgeable.

Do not bring your kids, you will spoil them!
Pros:

I backpacked through Chile 8 years ago, and one of the highlights was trekking the W in Torres Del Paine. It was a tough 4 days, but the views along the way was breath-taking. This time around I decided to share my wonderful journey with my wife. Much has changed in the past 8 years. There was a fire that wiped out most of the trees around lago Puehoye, and lago Grey, and now you need to reserve months ahead of time for a place in the refugios. I didn't know about the latter part so the only last minute solution was to book a hotel room at the Explora. We had no idea what to expect, buy oh my were our expectation exceeded! From the very minute you arrive you know you are in good hands. The GM greeted us at the door and helped us find a guide to plan our excursions. We wanted to trek on Grey Glacier, with is a service offered by another company, but Explora helped us book the boats and arranged the transportation. Another great aspect of staying at the Explora is the wonderful people (not your average backpackers) you will meet. The activities they arrange really brings everyone together and at the end of your stay you will feel so at home and made so many friends that you don't want to leave. I'm defiantly not taking my children here, they make it way too easy. My kids will have to do it the hard way so they can truly appreciate the wonder that is Torres Del Paine.

Un emplazamiento excepcional
Pros:

magnificent
Pros:

The views from the rooms and from the park are from out of this world. The hotel is perfectly situated and the all inclusive format is well worth it since there is very little thinking involved. The service and staff were helpful and very accommodating. The guides were knowledgeable and willing to answer any question about anything. The excursions were all well organized and safety was always a concern. Food was terrific and always fresh. You cannot go wrong here at any level.

Once in a lifetime experience
Pros:

The beautiful setting, great staff, amazing trekking excursions, excellent food and simple but lovely rooms and common spaces came close to justifying the stratospheric rates and the difficulty of getting to Torres del Paine. We stayed for the minimum of four days, which seemed long enough. An eight-day stay might become monotonous - not to mention the additional damage to the bank account. All in all, a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.
