Very comfortable stay
No complaints
Let's be real, Cape Town has a lot of good options to stay at. If the words clean, cozy and comfy are important to your choice of accommodation then I can wholeheartedly recommend this Hotel to you. Eugene the Manager welcomed us warmly and we felt like home from second one. He and his crew make the difference. Food was amazing, try the Shashuka in the Morning and the Beef Fillet with Brandy Sauce and mouthwatering smoky tasting vegetables at Lunch or Dinner. They also have vegetarian only and vegan options. The only reason why I would like to deduct points here is so that the Hotel doesn't get overbooked and prices rise for our future stay over. Keeping the Hotel to oneself is not really fair and it kind of punishes the skill & determination of the Crew making this place so wonderful. So here we go..5 stars, actually 6 if there were 6.
The staff is truly exceptional. Each time we returned to the hotel, we genuinely looked forward to seeing them and enjoyed our conversations. They made the entire place feel like home. The bar area has a great atmosphere, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of options. The bed was extremely comfortable, and overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
It would be beneficial to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom to help reduce humidity after showering and minimize the risk of mould. Additionally, improving the Wi-Fi signal in the rooms would enhance the overall guest experience. Replacing the rug in the sleeping area with a more stylish carpet could also elevate the room’s aesthetic.
Fantastic place - had a great stay, staff very friendly and helpful, centrally located - easy to get to restaurants, bars, shops etc. AND a small sea view
Great balcony, great location and staff
Parking
Didnt try the breakfast ,but only because i am not a breakfast person. It looked good
Really clever amount of plugs which is important .Loved the balcony area
Could be a few more International news channels on the TV
Possibly a few pamphlets on the bus routes and wine estates would have made good reading
Great location a block from the beach
Very Nice small and very personal Hotel. We were feeling very special there. A Hotel to get the real Kapstadt feeling. Super location.
The staff and the location
The place is due for an upgrade considering the rate per night. TV is not a smart TV and the frame hang loose, bed is not comfortable anymore and pillows are worn, sleep very uncomfortable. Ceilings where roofleaks were are covered badly and paint not neat. 3 days stay and didnt get sugar day 2 & 3 and not once we got milk. Fridge doesnt make cold.
Front desk staff was really sweet. A/C was good and bed was comfy.
Some towels were stained. Bath towels were a little small. Not a fan of the keychain- very big (and not sure how they handle if more than 1 person?). There were flies in the bathroom bc the window had been left open but I was able to get rid of them. Bathroom sink wasn't draining properly.
Location
Overpriced
Tired , needs a refresh
Aircon don’t work
Staff really friendly. Great location. Breakfast very good and big portions. Very comfortable bed.

Great location less than a minutes walk to the promenade. Close to Hop-on-Off bus stops and a pleasant and safe walk 45 minute to the V&A Waterfront. This is a lovely boutique hotel staffed by really friendly and engaging people. Rooms are generously sized with quality fittings, bed linen and towels. Bed was super comfy. The food was exceptional. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. The chef(s) definitely know their way around a kitchen! This was the first stop on our Garden Route tour and it set the benchmark for all the other hotels we were visiting. We’re three stops in so far and Hotel on the Promenade hasn’t been beaten.

Comfortable room. Fabulous food and really friendly helpful staff. Easy location to get Ubers to the main attractions of Cape Town. Lovely walk along the Promenade to the V and A Waterfront area.
Supermarket and restaurants close by but we were very happy to eat in most evenings as the food was so good and very reasonably priced.
Not the properties fault but quite a few homeless people in Sea Point, not that we felt threatened at all.
Food was GREAT Staff was Fantastic
