Prima locatie, aardig personeel, elders ontbijten
Pros:

De locatie. In het centrum en dichtbij veel bezienswaardigheden

Cons:

Het ontbijt vonden wij minder, er zijn heel veel tentjes in de buurt waar je echt veel lekkerder kunt ontbijten. Dus ik zou niet aanraden het ontbijt bij het hotel te nemen

Pros:

Excellent hotel with a perfect location. What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful specialy TOM+++++Their warmth and genuine care made us feel truly touched. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Cons:

la chambre ne correspondait pas aux photos et était beaucoup moins moderne
la piscine était dans un autre hôtel a 5 minutes a pied. ce n est pas une catastrophe mais j'aurai voulu le savoir avant de réserver, car je n'aurai probablement pas réservé celui ci
comme lu dans un autre commentaire il y a plusieurs hôtel du même groupe et nous ne sommes pas dans celui des photos

Pros:

L'hôtel est très bien situé. Le personnel était vraiment accueillant et aidant avec la planification d'activités et transport.

Cons:

La piscine est située dans un autre hôtel à 5 minutes de marche. Ceci n'était pas mentionné sur l'annonce de booking.com.

An interesting introduction to Hanoi
Pros:

Mr Harry and Mr Brian were wonderful! The staff are clearly incentivised to help and be helpful but that means a lot of the reviews (like my initial one) are done under their eye which makes it hard to be totally honest and places time pressure on you to complete. Upon reflection, the hotel is good value for the price point, it's in a good location (not great) but very handy for most things. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was not noisy at night. The included breakfast had plenty of variety although the coffee was a bit hit and miss. I would probably avoid the Old Quarter if I stayed again but that is not because of this hotel, it's more to do with the pace and the 'vibe' around this area. If you aren't going to be in your room much and just want a clean, quiet place to sleep then this is your spot!

Cons:

No pool. Please fix the listing. I doubt there even is a pool at all let alone one that is 'being fixed'. The hotel has done an excellent job with photography - the room is sort of like the one in the photo just 25% less good! It's all a little bit old and the shower over the bath felt like the bath was going to fall through the floor every time you got in - it would move!!

Good but not great.
Pros:

Location was fine, it's down a quiet side street with no vehicle access. The rooms were clean. Staff were generally friendly. Our arrival was delayed by 24 hours which meant we missed the first night of our planned 3 night stay. They only charged us for the 2 nights we stayed which was nice.

Cons:

Tom jumped straight on us as soon as we arrived to find out our remaining travel plans whilst in Vietnam, then proceeded to try and sell us tours and other travel arrangements for the remainder of our trip. We had to mention several times that all we really wanted to do was get to our room following a long two days of travelling before he finally took the hint.

Whilst the rooms were clean, it's a real push to award this hotel 4 stars.

Also, it should be more clear that the pool is not on premises. It's approximately a 5 min walk away, at another hotel entirely. Don't do what I did and go to each floor looking for the pool.

Breakfast could be better

Pros:

The staff here are outstanding. They did everything to try and make our booking exceptional. They were friendly, accomodating, and I cannot fault their customer service. They even bought our son a beautiful birthday cake and surprised him. Thankyou. If you want to experience "Old town" this is definately the place to stay. It is quaint, and the alley ways are a buzz of activity. You really get to experience old Vietnam. You are in an Alley way where cars cant go down, and you are experiencing the olden style lifts, stairs, and wooden parts of the building. The rooms are enormous and very comfortable. You certainly have a lot of space. The hotel is in four seperate buildings, so our son and family were across the alleyway, but was easy to hop across to see them. and the pool was not functioning when we were there and it was a 10 minute walk to another hotel to use the gym and pool. We ended up not using as too much like hard work to so that.

Cons:

When we arrived we were very dissappointed as the advertising was not what we thought. I specifically booked, so our son and his family could be next to us and also to have the pool on hand for our grandson. This was not the case. The pool being 20 min walk away, just wasnt what we were looking for. So after the initial dissappointment. I have to say that the Manager went out if his way to make out stay as comfortable as possible, upgrading our sons room, and discounting our stay. So our stay ended up being extremely pleasant. My only point was that we should have been told prior that the pool wasnt functioning as it hadnt for 8 months. I would have made other arrangements, and also that the hotel is in 4 buildings. Having said this. Like I have said before, the staff were amazing. And this really helped us settle into our stay, and enjoy the stay.
