Elegant hotel in excellent location
Pros:

This is an old and elegant hotel, first established in 1958. It is in superb condition today. Our room was tastefully decorated, with comfortable furniture. Breakfast was delicious and included some interesting Uzbek items including cakes and pastries. I loved the variety of dairy products such as yoghurts, kefir and cream cheese.
We would definitely love to stay here again. The hotel is in a good location - the old Opera House is opposite in a park and the architecturally fascinating Metro is nearby.
Abdullah the Concierge was outstanding. He helped set up the Yandex app for us, and each day provided advice on the locations we wished to visit.
All in all, a very welcoming first stay in Uzbekistan

Excellent location and breakfast
Pros:

Excellent location. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet is superb with a wide range of options. The room was a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Great facilities including a bar, ATMs and a travel agent within the hotel.

Cons:

Pillows were on the soft side. Aircon was a bit weak. Duvets were too heavy for the warm weather.
