Pros:

Lovely old hotel.

Cons:

Old buildings can be a little bit musty, dusty. Could exacerbate asthma if you have it.

Overpriced, no easy access to your room.
Pros:

Its location in downtown.

Cons:

DO NOT STAY! The property locks the doors at 10:00 pm and you have to be physically let in by a staff member. In addition, every time at anytime during the day you enter they want to ask you your room number to prove you belong. It felt like I was being watched and my movements tracked. I have stayed in hotels in 3 continents and I have never had this experience before.

Great hotel
Pros:

Great location, clean and stylish interior. Wasn't sure what to expect regarding the shared bathroom, but was no issue at all.

Pros:

It's a goofy, quirky hotel in a good location. The AC had a periodic loud droning noise so I turned it off and opened the windows-- it was 78 degrees in the room. The maid daily made the bed and put out new towels. After 2 days, I finally got a shower mat so didn't need to use a towel for the floor. The maid didn't remove and replace the glasses I used daily. Good thing I don't watch TV-- the TV was high on the wall and about the size of a laptop. Didn't use the "spa", about the size of a walk in closet, because I needed to notify the desk to turn it on. I'm a very early riser. Coffee in the lobby isn't put out until 7. They also really jacked up the price because of the convention I was attending. So,,overall, I have to rate the Kingston as fair.

Cons:

Fix the AC. Like I said it was 78 in the room and the periodic droning woke me up. The ac control said that the filter needed to be changed.
