This property is STUNNING! The views are amazing and the room came with the prettiest balcony! The staff is so kind and accommodating! Loved our stay!
The hotel is tired , but has fabulous views. However for the price I paid (Euro 853.53 per night) ,I expected a lot more. No 24hr room service . Why an Empty mini bar ? I thought this is extra income for a hotel. Parking at the hotel is not easy.
I dont mind paying a lot for a stay, but this complete overpriced hotel I never experienced before. The rooms were old and noisy, the bathroom small and the airco made a big noise the whole night. I paid almost 1500 euro to stay with my family for one night. A joke
Very nice hotel in an amazing area. Still rather expensive for what it is.
Hotel caro para el estado de la habitación
Was a great choice of hotel! It's not right in the centre of Saint Tropez, but we hired a car so its only 15 mins drive to most beach clubs and restaurants, and to the Old Town! Staff are all very friendly and helpful, rooms are comfortable with an amazing view from the terrace. Highly recommended! The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because it didn't have a kettle and an iron in the room which are things i like to have in my room when i travel. But other than that it was a lovely experience and would definitely return.
Let me say that this hotel has all the potential to become an amazing place to stay. The location, with sweeping views of the ocean, vineyards, mountains and the old charming town of Ramatuelle. The rooms are of a good size, the staff very friendly and helpful. But... in the entire hotel, rooms, restaurant, bar and lobby the furniture is a mix of outdated and scraped together stuff with no sense of style at all. You can feel the spirals of the mattresses in some of the beds and there is no service such as bottled water in the rooms (yes 2 0,25cl bottles per stay!) or turn down service at night. The price is reasonable compared to other hotels in Ramatuelle. Book junior suite number 50 for most space, best terrace and view. Also a short walk down to the pool. A big thank you for the very helpful man who parked our car every time. Such a friendly and lovely guy!
Highly recommended, really good and pure food! Nice rooms with a view and the most hospitable staff! Nice breakfast with a view. Good location, close to the plages and saint tropez. Clean rooms in provencal style.
Hôtel très calme à proximité du village de Ramatuelle. Très bon service et extrême gentillesse de tout le personnel. Chambre avec belle vue sur la mer et la piscine de l’hôtel.
Perfect in every way!
Arrived to find that once again the owners have failed to address the major issue they have with their Internet. Most guests are incredibly frustrated that the system is woefully out of date and the owners, despite having known this for over a year have failed to fix it. All of the positive reviews are accurate and make for a great location for a holiday in this area but if you are somewhat reliant on the internet, choose another hotel
Great view and service. Just a few minute walk from the beautiful town of Ramatuelle.
Very nice town and wonderful view of the valley below with the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon .
Great pool , and good nice room .
Impeccable service .
This hotel is in a splendid location, 5 minutes walk from this charming village of Ramatuelle, and 5 minutes drive from one of the nicest beach in France.
There is though no ventilation in the room and in the bathroom/toilets, hence dampness and soaky smell.
The sticky rug should be replaced by tiles.
Otherwise the staff was nice and helpful, and the overall atmosphere quite pleasant.
Hotel with a wonderful view on Ramatuelle and Pampelona, very nice pool and restaurant, comfortable and spacious rooms, not cheap but acceptable prices. Was lucky to find a room in August. Only one car place in garage but it was free. Service voiturier
We stayed in this hotel for a night while we waiting for our apartment to be ready. It is in a great location in Ramatuelle. You can walk to the center of town in 2 minutes and perfect when the market is going.
Parking is free and right in front of the hotel. The room was nice with an amazing patio/view but a bit dated. Also one negative was that we could hear the A/C and it was tough to fall asleep too as it kept clicking every 30-45 seconds.
Dinner was pretty tasty and of course had a great view. Breakfast was at the same spot at the restaurant but it felt a bit short for me. It was self-serve and felt very basic - even the coffee I had to grab myself. I would recommend skipping and going into town for a bit to eat.
This hotel is located in the charming medieval town of Ramatuelle, away for the maddening crowds of St Tropez. The rooms are lovely with large terraces available. the restaurant is terrific with a terrace not soon forgotten. Sweeping views of the descending hills and the sea in the distance.
The staff is extraordinary. Helpful, always with a smile. Claude, the" voiturier", will always park your car and make sure it is available to you at all times. The front desk will make reservations at a nearby beach and it's excellent restaurant. A bus will take you there (stop is in front of the hotel) if you don't feel like driving.
The pool is beautiful and fully serviced by caring attendants. Bar and casual restaurant.
Great location, Pleasant and courteous, staff quick to help. Great location and great views.
Bedrooms need updating. I didn't put any clothes in the drawers as there were rather smelly. Window and doors to balcony do not close properly so felt a bit insecure. I wish they do something about that.
I would certainly be back again and again.
I needed a room for 2 nights in the peak of the season. La Baou was available in the area I wanted, and seemed like the best choice. There were a couple of pricier, nicer looking options, but they were coming in at 2 times the price. Looking at the reviews, I figured that La Baou would be fine - and it was.
It's an expensive area, but this hotel is in the village of Ramatuelle rather than the beaches. I paid €350 per night. It's a high price in absolute terms, and therefore it's fair to lay out the critiques below.
On the positives:
- staff were genuine and responsive. It's very French - this doesn't have the American service veneer of the area (with an eye to crazy prices and big tips) and is all the more authentic for it. It presents as a little cool to begin with - but in reality, it's kind, efficient and honest.
- the pool area is nice, and it's a decent enough length to swim properly (18m?)
- the voiturier/valet keeps the cars parked and available with stunning efficiency
- rooms are quite spacious, especially the duplex which are great for kids sharing
However, you need to be aware:
- it's too dated, and not just in the fabric but also the details. One tiny pillow on the bed, old fashioned blankets and sheets, air conditioning retro fitted onto the balcony so you need to turn it off to sit peacefully outside etc etc
- the standard of cleanliness aren't great. Cobwebs on our terrace, a toilet brush from a horror movie in the pool toilet
- there was no pool management during the day. Dirty towels lying around etc. It was very windy on our first day, and flying parasols came close to injuring people. However, there was no sign of anyone. I was going around picking them up myself
- for €25 I would expect a bit more of breakfast. Croissant were meh. No eggs cooked to order. Although there was freshly squeezed juice, it seemed to have been standing for a while and was edging to rancid.
I wouldn't go back as first choice, but it's a perfectly valid option in the area. There was just nothing 'wow'. The website is accurate, but overall the photos slightly oversell it due to the 'dated detail'.
