Resort grounds and room size/cleanliness were fabulous, everything else was below average. Pool staff would not take an order - no service to save their lives, rather talk amongst themselves and would get upset when you'd walk to the bar to order - this resort could double/triple profits overnight if they learned and charged for service. I paid Red Level to escape kids and to relax - my ocean view room was over the Italian kitchen and other amenities downstairs, could hear loud noises, banging and yelling until 1-2 AM each evening. The high-end restaurant at Red Level was horrid! If you want to overpay for fluffy bite size crap you are in luck...just don't waste your time no matter how they market the experience.
Americans - this is primarily a Spanish/Brit facility. The grounds are NOT huge they are adequate and simple to move throughout, the food is bland, most of the buffet are cold cuts and things you just won't eat (stewed tomatoes, cabbage salads etc... evenings they cooked steaks but still don't have a clue how to prepare (even with their chef hats on) the major option was would you like a sprinkle of salt on that? Make sure to bring an electrical converter to charge phones etc as everything is European. Nice hotel but really frustrating atmosphere when trying to relax and escape normal everyday issues.
Second time here, better than the first.
Amazing Hotel, amazing stay
Friendly staff, great selection of restaurants. Red Level is definitely worth the extra money. We will
absolutely return
Red level staff … absolutely magnificent … they were helpful and responsive to all my needs and questions. I really want to come back as this was one of the experiences of a lifetime.
Beautiful facility and super helpful staff. Love them
Friendly staff and great location, not too many rules and regulations so you can just get on and enjoy your holiday on your terms. Highly recommend.
Adult only Redlevel area felt like a small hotel but with benefits of large luxury hotel. Lots of great pools.
Beautiful everything
Staff very good with lots assistance with several issues during our stay, would definitely recommend
Lovely resort in a wonderful location. Very easy to get around the island via car so highly recommend a rental. The resort is quite nice, peaceful and relaxing with very good restaurants.
Excellent quite facility in a big hotel.
Amazing property with a nice public beach and promenade right outside. Friendly staff, great food, good drinks, nice room, incredible views. Can’t ask for much more. Great way to spend the weekend, or a week.
My one and only complaint were that the light switches in the room were difficult to operate at times.
We have stayed RedLevel at Gran Melia Palacio de Isora on 4 occasions now going back to 2016 but to be honest Gran Melia need to up their game if this is "flag ship" "Red Level" offering as the hotel is now looking quite tired and the rooms are needing a complete rework now. Not good frankly and still quite expensive. The room was not very clean, the furniture in the room was in poor condition with doors that don't close on wardrobes and drawers that stick. The bathroom was very tired and not clean in places. The restaurants offered poor quality food that is sold as high end dining at a high price. One meal was inedible. We ate out of the hotel for the rest of the holiday at local restaurants and paid far less with very good quality. I don't mind paying for great quality food but this was far from it. Sun beds around the red level pool and in the red level garden were dirty and in poor condition in some cases.Overall very disappointing. Gran Melia just lost a good customer.
Beautiful hotel and fantastic staff. Food was genuinely outstanding. Breakfast was a highlight having been served by the most friendly and welcoming staff only to be beaten by Gabriella in the Italian restaurant whose warmth and attention to detail were exemplary
This is our second stay at the Red Level and we weren’t disappointed. The level of customer service throughout the hotel is exemplary, the grounds are immaculate, the cuisine varied and first class and the accommodation and housekeeping excellent. If I could sum this hotel up in five words - “A little bit of paradise”.
Excellent hotel - lovely staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. Plenty of choices to eat both in the complex and in the area. Really enjoyed our stay and would go back there again.
The incredible staff make this beautiful hotel into something truly special. Every single staff member is so lovely, friendly and will go above and beyond for you. We had a faultless stay and loved every minute. The only negative to me is the dark bedrooms and bathrooms. Couldn’t see to put on make up! But would definitely return. Gorgeous special staff and hotel
Manager isn’t trained, as she was told all our problems and didn’t resolve any or offer anything in return. From bad service, to rude staff, dirty rooms, bad food, it goes on and on. Shocked at how bad this hotel was (and only due to the staff)
The views, buildings and pools are incredible, but mean nothing with such bad staff. And a manager that is unable to do her job!
Do not stay!
This is our ‘go to’ place for winter and autumn breaks and look forward to returning each year because of the RedLevel concept. There have been subtle changes over the last 5 years, not all for the good, as the accountants seem to have forgotten
