The location is unbeatable if you want to spend most if your time in the Cité. It’s less than a minutes walk to one of the two main gates into the Cité. Unfortunately it rained a lot of the 4 days we stayed, but we were able to visit the Cité between downpours and close enough to run back to the hotel without getting soaked. We spent a lot of time sat in the bar-cum restaurant-cum lounge which is the hub of the hotel. Coffee was great and we spent hours looking at the ramparts, reading and playing boards games . The food menu was very limited but what was available was tasty and well presented. The staff were fantastic. Really helpful. The whole place had a comfy relaxed vibe.
The outside pool was closed, and the jacuzzi, which was disappointing. I love swimming even in the rain and don’t recall it written anywhere that either close for winter.
On the booking platform and web site it said breakfast was a buffet but it was actually a selection of items served to each table. ( I assume because winter occupancy doesn’t warrant laying out a buffet ).
There a sweet hotel dog which is lovely, but he’s VERY obese which was quite distressing. He waddles around the table waiting for guests to feed him. Although there’s a sign ( which tbh isn’t easy to see ) at reception asking guests not to feed him. The staff don’t ask guests not to feed the dog when they serve food, so he’s constantly being given cheese, ham, croissants ! Message to the owner, you need to be more responsible for the dogs health.
Perfeito! Gostaria de ter ficado mais dias.
Poderia ter um freezer na sala.
The hotel is located just a couple of steps away from the castle entrance and therefore you have a view on it at breakfast and from some rooms/balcony.
The breakfast was excellent and all people working there are so amazingly nice and helpful.
My room was small but very cosy. But keep in mind, that you can hear your neighbors, so bring some earplugs if you know that you are sensitive.
The indoor pool in the pictures has to be booked and paid separately
