Thank goodness the rooms are better & cleaner than the lobby! When I first checked in all I could think was "if the room is anything like this, I'm out". Cluttered, dusty, & dirty. Being a Wyndham, I expected so much more. I usually enjoy their coffee & breakfast options at least. But, there was no way I was even attempting that.
The rooms were upgraded and nicer. Beds were decent. Clean.
One of the hand towels looked like someone had wiped their mouth on it after eating pizza.
The shower curtain had black mold on it.
Lamp shade was falling off between the beds. When i went to heat up my coffee in the morning (from Waffle House next door) I had to unplug the fridge to plus in the microwave.
TV remote didnt work. When i finally turned the TV on manually, the sound didnt come on for about 20 minutes.
There's a lovely burned hotel right behind it for a great view.
This hotel also seems to have some permanent residents. Rooms smelled weird.
Woke up to a woman on the balcony screaming at someone in the parking lot to "get away before she calls the cops!"
Bugs in the bathroom. Drug deals all night in back parking lot, NO housekeeping in my room in the 3 nights I stayed there. A guy tried to sell me “a quarter paper” on the stairwell, telling me he had “real good stuff”. If there had been another room in town, I would have left before I even got my luggage to my room. Unfortunately, there was a parents weekend at the local college and no rooms were available.
The nonsmoking room reeked of smoke. TV did. it worn, said they would be right over to show me how to work it, did not. Never responded about the smell
The room was dirty. Bugs on the toilet and bugs, hair and stains on the bed sheet. Staff was rude. Illegal activity in the parking lot. Had to find somewhere else to stay.
The housekeeping does a really good job on a mediocre hotel. The stairs are so rusted out I don’t even think they are using the upstairs right now. We just needed a bed and a shower. Bed was noisy but comfortable, the shower was stained but hot.
Place is falling apart, literally. Staircases are rusted and have giant holes in the concrete sidewalk. Do not stay here. Everything is nasty and crumbling. First room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all. Second room raised questions on if sheets and towels were clean due to stains and hair all over. Shower water pressure was a trickle and barely any hot water. Room smelled moldy. Lobby smelled like cigarettes. At least the A/C worked eventually. Everything was so gross, we didn’t even trust the provided breakfast to not make us sick so we ate at the Waffle House next door.
The service and price are great. They are very friendly and have everything you need good. Also they don't have any pets or beds bug free great for kids. They are pet friendly. They have clean rooms. We had great sunset view in the evening from our room.
Very helpful staff. We left our phone and they held it for us for a week until our return from the vacation. Accommodations were very good for an overnight stay. East to get to from the interstate. Floral arrangements in the lobby were nice atmosphere.
The lobby is like a bad 80’s horror movie. You can’t see in the windows because of the jungle of plants in the lobby. There are piles of papers and boxes everywhere. It’s like you are being welcomed into a hoarders house. The property behind this hotel is the creepiest thing I have ever seen.
The front desk was very helpful and understanding. The rooms were great!! Breakfast was delicious. Oh and watching the sunset was the best I’ve seen in Tennessee. Checking in and check out was a breeze. Can’t wait till next time! Wouldn’t change a thing!!!
Fantastic people at the front office very helpful....Room was really great. breakfast was fantastic with sausages.. the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking.. I would definitely recommend staying here after a day of riding sxs all day.
I stay at the super 8 every time I'm looking for a room. I had a wonderful experience yet again! The rooms are super clean, the staff is very friendly, and it's peaceful. Also, if you leave things in the room, they will keep it safe until you come back to pick it up! Wonderful experience!
This motel doesn't meet Wyndham standards. In great need of maintenance, cleaning and updating. The room was disgusting. Very soft old mattress, gross carpeting, awful stink, side chair looks like they picked it up off the curb. Wouldn't dare sit in it. Office chair jammed underneath desk so could not get it out. Only place to sit was on soft bed that made a tin noise every time you moved on it, bathtub did not drain. Huge gap in door that you could see through. The outside building was like a slum, falling apart, rusted stairways, in dire need of paint. Lobby and breakfast area full of junk and clutter. Management unresponsive to a rebate of any kind. Definitely did not get what we paid for. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is a slummy dump with questionable people running it and residing in it.
Missed oppertunity..could be really nice but certainly isnt..Parking lot a mess and the lobby is a disaster although there is work in progress so thats understandable. Coutyard realky has possibilites but badly neglected
Check in was easy friendly clerk..hotel is pet friendly but we were not asked if we had pets ....so i didnt volunteer
Room clean beds comfortable Water pressure good. And very quiet.
Breakfast..tangerines yogurt, pastries and cereal...
....on a budget...have pets ..and want good location its ok
The hotel gives great service. The rooms are very clean no complaints. The staff took care of me on my vacation. Best hotel in the area with great breakfast. The hotel staff is very friendly, hospitality at hotel its finest. The WiFi is super fast to watch.
By far great people and they saved my stuff wouldn't give it to no one I stayed here many times and had nothing but good things to say for them thank you all so much I appreciate it and you have my recommendation all day thanks!!!!;!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. Just no. Worst hotel choice we've ever made. We were desperate but staying in our own car may have been better than this. Creepy grounds, unclean (stains on bed, hair in shower), and in bad condition (mold on bathroom ceiling, smells like stale smoke from 1980). Again...just NO.
This was the nastiest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. So many things were in a state of disrepair. The door didn’t seal, black stuff came out of the bathroom vent and was on the towels. The room stunk like stale cigarettes and some other weird cleaner. Light bulbs were burnt out. Sink faucet was dirty. There was no breakfast as advertised.
Initially, we thought the room was fine for an older motel. Wrong. Infested with roaches. Door wouldn’t lock or unlock smoothly. TV signal kept dropping. Weird metal plate under the mattress made a loud boom each time you sat down or stood up. Also discovered the window hadn’t been locked.
for a one night stay, it was ok. it was next to what looked like an abandoned building so it looked a bit iffy. the room was clean and the bed comfortable. there was no fan in the bathroom unfortunately. checking in took a while compared to other hotels we've been in.
