Hotel Riu Plaza Guadalajara

Riu is My favorite hotel in GDL! I’ve stayed in many but the restaurants, bars service and especially the rooftop are worth every penny!

Everything was perfect, except how hot our room was. We would leave the A/C on all day and it would still be hot.

I loved this hotel, conveniently located, great views, nice rooms, everything clean and in great condition, there was work in the pool which was unfortunate, but it will make the hotel even nicer. I was disappointed with the elevator service, one of them was not working and it took forever to go up/down. The restaurant was great, the food was good, and the waiters very friendly and helpful

I had the best experience. The staff was kind and friendly. Breakfast was exceptional!!!! I give 10 stars hands down.

Healthcare tourism. We traveled to Guadalajara to access Healthcare. The hotel is fantastic. Unfortunately, every bed at RIU properties are harder than the floor. I hunt in the bush of Canada for weeks at a time and sleeping on the ground is more comfortable. Who ever buys there beds needs to figure this out.

Nice place but several issues make the place not perfect(no help to carry the baggage, not even showing willngness to help. Seems like help is selective. Misscommunication bettween reception and bookings). Didnt feel like hospitality is the hotel biggest strength.

Stayed on the executive level. Free munchies and bevs in crown room. Fantastic view, great staff. Anyone that thought all you need is a light sweater this week in Guadalajara froze. Too bad that even luxury hotels don’t have heat.

I liked the receptionists' professionalism when arrived and when left, too.
Room was nice, clean, comfortable, WIFI available, ironing, available.
Laundry service is available for an acceptable price and they made a perfect and nice washing for me.
Breakfast is like heaven :) literally everything is available, and the staff is nice and very helpful.
This is a great place to stay in.

Stayed here for a week during a work trip. Really solid stay in all ways. I recommend its location and facilities and staff support. I’ll be back

A Sky-High Experience at RIU Plaza Guadalajara

The View: Day & Night
The highlight of the stay is undoubtedly the rooftop. Whether you’re there under the bright Mexican sun or as the city lights begin to twinkle, the panoramic views of the sprawling city and the surrounding mountains are mesmerizing.

* Nighttime: The city transforms into a sea of amber lights, providing a sophisticated backdrop for a cocktail.
The Adrenaline Kick
For those who aren't afraid of heights, the glass floor overhang is a must-see. Stepping out over the edge of the building with nothing but glass beneath your feet is a thrilling, memorable experience that offers a unique perspective of the streets below. It’s easily the most Instagram-worthy spot in the hotel.
Authentic Vibes & Service
The service throughout the hotel was polished and attentive, but the atmosphere really peaked during Mariachi Night at the lobby bar. It brought a wonderful sense of local culture and high energy right to the heart of the hotel. Watching a world-class Mariachi band in such an elegant setting was the perfect way to spend an evening.
Final Verdict: Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, the combination of the rooftop scenery, the "daredevil" glass floor, and the authentic lobby entertainment makes the RIU Plaza the place to be in Guadalajara.

Since I arrived until I left the hotel, all the personnel was very kind, services and places to stay were incredible. Everybody said hello, everubody smiled all the time.

I had a great short stay at the Riu Plaza Guadalajara hotel. My room was comfortable, staff was helpful, and the hotel is very modern! I have no complaints really.

Stayed at this hotel for a week. Great location, clean, buffet breakfast has great options and is good. Lobby bar has great service, and daily entertainment. Look for Andres, he will make sure you have an excellent experience at the lobby bar! rooftop bar has great views of the city! Service is on point throughout the hotel. Beds are a little firm for my liking. If you like birria tacos, around the corner from the hotel is a really good spot. Overall, we look forward to starting here on our next visit

Overall this is a decent hotel, it is big so it has a lot going on.
The elevators can be a painful wait at times due to the many floors and guests (both staying in the hotel and attedning events plus the rooftop bar)
The room was cold enough in November but the extr ablanket hidden in the wardrobe was just about enough, a second one would have been appreciated.
My main annoyance came from when the cleaning person did up the room, they did not replenish neither the water nor the coffee utensils. In a hotel of this size and stature this is surely a minimum requirement.

I stayed at RUI from Nov 7th-Nov 11th in room 3707. I reserved through AAA a king suite and when I arrived to the hotel I was told by the front desk that the whole hotel was booked and only had a twin bed suite available for the same price I had booked online. They made me pay 250.00 more to upgrade to a premium king suite because that’s all they had left which was not true!!! They said I would have access to the “VIP lounge” which is a joke! And free mini fridge refills the whole time I was there.

The one time I went into the “VIP lounge” which offer “free drinks and snacks” had only warm beers and empty bottles of wine in the fridge. The snacks were old and stale.

The mini fridge “refills” never occurred and had to remind every day!

The rooftop is very nice but to get a drink it takes over 15 mins and they have all these staff just standing there! Can’t believe this hotel had good reviews! Worse experience at the RUI!

The hotel and room were very clean. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The only issue for me were the elevators. They didn’t always work as expected meaning sometimes the floor buttons would deselect when stopping to pick up additional passengers

Very happy there was no language barrier during our stay. Everyone was very accommodating to our requests.

Very nice property, rooms clean and large enough for extended stays. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant options, very easy to travel to different areas of the city.

This was my 3rd time staying at the Riu Guadalajara. Even though it was busier than my last few times, it was still just as clean, organized and quiet! Slept perfectly fine. Spacious rooms and extremely clean facility. Delicious breakfast and the rooftop bar is wonderful. Service at the bar could be better as there wasn’t one specific waiter for the table, but really just whoever was nearby and orders were forgotten, but the atmosphere was superior. Love the options for live music!
