Hotel Mediterráneo Quito

Chose this hotel because it advertised 24 hr check in and appeared to have a fully functional bathroom. Arrived middle of the day and had to wait nearly an hour ringing the bell and having the cab driver call the posted number before getting in. No hot water and was charged twice. The staff was nice once present. Just not what I expected as the first stop after flying.

Hotel was clean and in a good location and I would definitely stay here again. Nice breakfast for a very reasonable price.
Our check in was great even though we arrived quite late.
Our only negative is that the person that looks after the front desk on the night shift could not understand any English and when we were having an issue he was not able to offer any help whatsoever

El hotel es demasiado agradable, silencioso, habitaciones cómodas y limpias, esta ubicado cerca del casco histórico y del parque alameda. el personal muy atento y amable.

Excelente hotel, Buen trato, habitaciones limpias y cómodas, el agua caliente funciona perfectamente al igual que el wifi. buena ubicación, si volviera ir a quito me volvería alojar acá, lo recomiendo.

Excelente Hotel, todos los servicios funcionan excelentemente tanto el wifi, como el agua caliente, las habitaciones muy limpias y muy cómodas. la atención era como de un hotel 5 estrellas en uno de 3, la ubicacion es excelente está muy cerca del centro histórico de Quito. y hay muchos sitios para visitar... Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Too much attention, the hotel is very clean and comfortable, the hot water works, the WiFi is very fast, its location is great, it is near the center, also you can access the historic center walking. excellent hotel I recommend it.

Since my arrival at the hotel I was pleasantly received, an attention I had not seen in a long time. I was given access to my room and everything impeccable, sincerely hope to return as soon as possible since we are on vacation.

A lovely place to stay. The hosts were very welcoming. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you need to be near the old town, the airport or the best views of quito!

Hôtel propre et bien situé. Notre chambre été parfaite ! Bonne literie, chambre spacieuse et lumineuse. On se sent comme à la maison ! C'est d'ailleurs cela qui nous a motivé à revenir passer nos derniers jours de vacances!

All in all the hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and gave a lot of well known tips of the city or where to eat. The room had everything what we needed and everyday when we came back from a trip the room was cleaned up.

The staff was nice, but when we checked in the guy said he needed copies of our passports (understandable) and he didn't have access to the copier until the morning, so he was going to hold onto our passports until then. We politely refused, preferring not to lose our passports in the first few days of our trip :/ In the room, there were some bugs on the wall that appeared dead, but were never cleaned up. The hotel is across from a hospital, so expect LOTS of loud noises throughout the night from people on the street and sirens from the hospital. If I stayed here again, I would definitely ask for a room that did not have a window to the street because you won't get much sleep with all that noise. Even with the window closed it sounded like the noises were right next to you.

Rooms are basic but spacious and clean. Value for money. Suprised me overall. If u r looking for somewhere cheap and clean in Quito town, this is yours. I do recommend.
