Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites at Monkey Forest, Ubud - For Adults Only

This was an absolute haven in a crazy busy city. Though on the expensive side (you get what you pay for and you get A LOT), I can’t find one thing wrong with our stay. Beautiful accomodations and the private pool was actually private. Some people say that the private pool accommodations around Bali aren’t what they seem because while you only have access to the pool, people can actually see you in there from their rooms. This was not at all the case at this hotel and it was completely secluded from all other guests. Bonus points to the many monkeys that visit from the neighbouring monkey forest! We were considering going to the monkey forest, but found we didn’t even need to because they came to visit us at our hotel! Restaurant was 10/10, food was amazing, staff were amazing, and the view was amazing. Also cannot stress how quiet and peaceful it was. The pictures online definitely don’t do it justice one final thought, during our checkout they noticed we were leaving too early to have their complementary breakfast so they arranged for us to have takeout containers on the road!

This was my third stay at Royal Kamuela. It is a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff.

This hotel is unbelievable! The staff, the service, the rooms and the restaurant are all above 5-star. We have been to 35 countries but this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at! And a great location walking distance from the monkey forest, palace, shopping and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites. Our villa came with its own private pool and felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of Ubud. The team even surprised us with a beautiful flower arrangement for Nush and me, which made the stay extra special.

Every morning we enjoyed their delicious breakfast before heading out to explore. The location is perfect — just steps away from the Monkey Forest, Yoga Barn, and plenty of incredible restaurants. We also had the chance to walk to nearby temples and even wander through the rice fields, all within easy reach.

The staff were attentive, thoughtful, and made us feel truly cared for. This was one of our most memorable stays in Bali, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

Wonderful resort within walking distance of downtown and the monkey forest. Restaurant for breakfast was very good. Would stay here again if we return.

From the moment we arrived to the hotel to the morning we checked out everything at this hotel went seamlessly. Upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary 15 minute foot massage that we enjoyed after dropping our bags off to our room. This hotel has direct access to sidewalks down a very beautiful street with tons of shops that are filled with clothes and collectibles. Since the hotel rooms are far back from the road there is no noise at night other than nature noises. We were also upgraded to a room that had direct pool access, which was a nice surprise and so beautiful. During our 2 night stay we also booked a photoshoot through the hotel since you get one free digital photo for doing it. We ended up taking the package of 6 photos because they were so wonderful. Also received a 10% off discount on our first room service order. All in all this hotel lived up to its 5 stars. Highly recommend!!

A great adult only resort to stay at if you want to give yourself a special treat, as everything was laid on for you, and to a very high standard. The resort has large peaceful grounds, yet when you walk out the gate in are in the centre of Ubud. This was our second time staying here, and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful property

This was our 2nd stay at this property. We enjoyed staying there so much that we came back. The first time we stayed in a villa. This second time we decided to stay main pool side and were upgraded to a room with direct access to the pool. Spacious and comfortable. Loved it. Btw this is an adults only hotel. Wonderful, huge breakfast with great coffee. We also had a very good lunch. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was very central but quiet. Will stay there again on our next trip to Ubud.

Excellent location.Property is well maintained and clean.Has all the facilities.Like pool and gym etc.Did not use any facilities during stay . Very friendly staff all around the hotel very welcoming

This property is beautiful, very clean and safe. The rooms and villas are even better than displayed in pictures. The staff here made the stay exceptional. They were kind, professional and accomodating. The tour arranged by the hotel was a highlight.

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Kamuela apartments. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and views of the pool. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating and the location was fantastic- on the main road so close to everything but so quiet and peaceful because the rooms are set far back from the noise. I would highly recommend staying here.

The monkeys from the monkey forest could be seen around the property & even popped up on our balcony.
