Fascinating historical property, which was beautiful.
We were excited to stay here given it was a castle. It did not disappoint! The grounds were very nice and the place has been kept up. The room was quite spacious - we had a ‘superior double room’ but it could have been decorated nicer given the atmosphere. The bed seemed small in the room. The bathroom was quite large and nice.
Despite the description stating that the castle had a restaurant, it was not operating. The staff were helpful in finding a restaurant that was opened and had availability for us to eat dinner. They do offer a bar and light snacks (a little on the pricey side).
The staff here is amazing! The property is by far the best stay we’ve had in Italy! The castle and views are magical!
What a spectacular experience! We visited here for my brothers wedding and it was absolutely perfect.
The setting is incredible and so is the service. The rooms are clean. The beds are hard and pillows not great but overall it was a great experience.
We prefer cold drinks but unfortunately they were always cold.
The reception lady was a bit rude at times too
The biggest disappointment was getting ripped off by taxi into town - should be no more than 10euro - we paid 45euro for a 5 minute trip (this isn’t the fault of the hotel though)

Unique building and fantastic location
The property was beautiful. We loved the way old and new were blended together.
FABULOUS- Stunning property a five minute drive from Orvieto. The property is well maintained and has a very quiet pool area. The rooms are a good size with good bathrooms. Breakfast was very good - outside in a courtyard. I would happily return. Staff all very polite & obliging.

We only had one night at this amazing hotel but already booked our next trip here in two month. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Facing the beautiful city of Orvieto on the cliffs this hotel is worth staying at if you are in the area. The trip to Orvieto takes five minute.
Our room was very clean, modern and spacious.. the grounds are like walking around in history it self. A gem in an otherwise fantastic region of Italy.

A unique location it is a privilege to stay in what is a historic artifact. Easy access to Orvieto and around. The draw back is that the restaurant has still not reopened since Covid.
The restaurant was closed, but we were able to enjoy snacks at the bar while all the other restaurants in town were closed. The air conditioner worked great, and it was very peaceful and pleasant place to stay. Top-notch service for sure.
