Pros:

The view was spectacular and loved seeing the rock wallabies just outside the balcony, the location was central to easily access transport and grocery store and the pool was clean with a great view too, Though pool towels were not provided. The covered parking and security. Layout of the resort, quietness and cleanliness of the
resort.

Pleasant stay.
Pros:

A good sized apartment. Nice size showers, although they need retiling. The apartment is fully equiped and worked well. Walking distance to the ferry, restaurant and IGA was a great advantage.

Cons:

The facilities were disappointing. The pool furniture was worn and mouldy. There isn't a big pool, each "block" has its own pool. Block 1 pool wasn't heated and too cold to swim in the winter months.
There wasn't a gym. Each "block" has a very small room with some weights and one machine. Only 1 person can use the room at one time as the room is too small.
Room 4014 is beside the pool, so the pool motor and pump was loud inside the apartment. After speaking with the staff, they turned it off at night so at least we could sleep.
The doors and windows need screens.

Our room needed a bit of a facelift / update.
Carpet thread bare in areas & bathroom & bedroom table tops weather worn, definately seen better days.
Invisable step up into bathroom, is a major trip hazard !
Front bedroom windows heavily rusted & hard to wind / work.

Wir wären gerne länger in dieser tollen Wohnung geblieben.
Pros:

Wir waren positiv überrascht. Die Unterkunft war riesig, hatte alles für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Der Pool am Abend war schön und die Badewanne im Schlafzimmer einzigartig.

Cons:

Wenn man genauer hinsieht, z.B unter den Betten, Teppich, so ist die Wohnung nur aufs Nötigste sauber. Aber das Wichtigste :Küche/Bett/Badezimmer waren sehr sauber.

The views were amazing but we were expecting more with the apartment for the price!
Pros:

The views from our balcony and bedroom and how spacious the apartment was.

Cons:

It was very worn, the chairs on the balcony were ripped, the bed was uncomfortable, the lift was broken, the dryer was broken, the bbq outside was electric but there was no powerpoint outside to plug it in so we couldn’t use! There was a coffee machine but no pods - just 2 for the morning would have been a nice touch!

Stunningly disappointed.
Pros:

The location-which was why we chose it.

Cons:

The room was tired, old, haphazardly cleaned, there was hairs and muck in the ice tray, the sugar/salt had been spilled and not wiped up, the bed needs to go to landfill which is obvious before you even try laying on it and the price per night seems to have piggybacked onto the expected quality of a room at the Mercure, not the reality. Despite being aware it was unlikely we would find alternative suitable accommodation on the island due to the events that weekend, we still looked. The only reason we stayed on was because, as suspected, we couldnt book anywhere else.

Super location and staff, a rather tired apartment in need of care.
Pros:

The location is amazing, as are the pools and facilities on site.

Cons:

The apartment did not meet the standards expected, certainly not that the price charged.
There was a leak in the en-suite toilet, paint peeling from the ceiling in the shower and we had two cockroaches in the apartment.

We paid for a view but privacy grossly compromised by pool. Very noisey & intrusive- had to erect barrier so pool attendees didn't stare into our main bedroom. No point paying for a view if have to block it for privacy!!

Comfortable Stay, But Needs Some Updates
Pros:

The customer service was lovely, friendly, and informative. The hotel amenities were excellent and made our stay enjoyable.

Cons:

The apartment lacked a few essentials and could benefit from some updates. The outlook from the deck was quite underwhelming, overlooking a bare dirt area with a large number of dead plants, that could easily be enhanced with some plants or landscaping to create a more inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating would also be much more comfortable with the addition of cushions. Overall, while the apartment was adequate, it felt a little underwhelming for the price paid.

Our stay at this hotel on Magnetic Island was extremely disappointing.
I suggest you to go to see the photo attached.

As soon as we entered the room, it was clear that the cleanliness was far below an acceptable standard. We found dirt throughout the room, worn-out appliances, dirty wardrobe, dirty blackout blinds covered in dust, dead spiders, and, most concerning of all, a dirty baking tray left inside the oven. We have photos to support these issues.

We reported everything to the receptionist immediately, hoping the situation would be resolved. Instead, we were simply told that there was nothing she could do. No effort was made to address the problems, offer us another room, or provide any form of compensation.

Paying for a room in this condition is unacceptable. At the very least, we expected the hotel to take responsibility and offer a refund, as the accommodation did not meet even basic standards of cleanliness or customer service.

We cannot recommend this hotel. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and complete absence of customer care made this one of the worst hotel experiences we have had.
