Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%
To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).
This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid seperately.
We are currently undergoing maintenance work on our rooms and remodeling on the 3rd floor of the hotel in the classic sector until June 13. We are looking for improvements for a better experience.
Please notice that group reservations from three rooms will be charged with the full amount of rate maximun 24 hrs after confirm reservation. This run for standard and nonrefundable rates.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Good value for a satisfactory stay in Punta Arenas
Pros:

All staff I interacted with were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Check-in was pleasant and efficient, and the service in the restaurant was the same way. I had to change my room reservation at the last minute due to a cancelled flight, and staff I reached out to were very responsive and communicative. Also, my room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location of the hotel was convenient to attraction and activities in the center of Punta Arenas. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Cons:

The breakfast was on the smallest, most paltry hotel breakfasts I have ever seen. And the parking lot is very small and a challenge to maneuver in if there are more than just a few cars parked in it. I recommend parking on the street near the hotel even if that means paying a surcharge and/or having to walk a short distance.
