Pros:

We had a great stay at the Mercure Bonn City Centre! The location is fantastic, right next to Bonn Central Station and just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Old Town. Everything is within walking distance, which makes exploring the city really convenient. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

Cons:

Our room was on the first floor, directly above the train station platform. Unfortunately, this wasn't the most ideal location, as we could hear some noise from the trains and the station.

Cons:

The refrigerator was broken and there was no follow up for a day but eventually they kindly changed my room.
Sometimes there are pickpockets in the hotel lobby so it would feel safer if there could be something done about it.

La struttura le camere la colazione

Cons:

La posizione. Se ti capita, come è capitato a me, di avere una camera dal lato della stazione è impossibile dormire! Potrebbero almeno insonorizzare meglio e mettere dei tappi a disposizione dei clienti nelle camere! Per chi riesce a dormire comunque tutto il resto va bene!

Super zentrale Lage, man erreicht Bonn HBf und die Bonner Innenstadt mit wenigen Schritten. Schöne Frühstücks-Cafés in der Altstadt. Auch Supermärkte (Bio-Markt, Lidl) fußläufig. Lidl sogar sonntags offen. Trotz Bahnhofsnähe war das Zimmer sehr ruhig - gut schallisoliert. Positiv: Check out erst um 12:00 Uhr, man kann ausschlafen. Große Schränke für Kleidung. Zimmer sehr sauber. Heizung im Bad (Radiator) sofort warm. Zimmer geräumig.

Cons:

Leider ist der normale Check-In erst um 15:00 Uhr - mit nur wenig Flexibilität. Es gibt fast ausschließlich deutsche Fersehkanäle im Kabel-TV. Für mich kein Problem, aber für die Gäste, die kein deutsch sprechen etwas schwierig. Fußboden der Dusche ist relativ rutschig.

The room has everything needed for a short stay. There was a tea/coffee bar. The mattress and pillows are surer soft which is great for us. Good place for those who need to stay close to the train station.

Cons:

The bathroom floor was not clean, we’ve seen hair and cotton swab on the floor. A pair of single-use hotel slippers would be great. Even though the room has smart TV and YouTube we couldn’t use it since the TV’s not connected to the WiFi. We chose a room that faces the city and not the railway, but it seems like it’s better to face the train station since the ‘city side’ has a bar right across the street so its quite noisy. Anyway it was a nice place to stay. What we really didn’t like is the gentleman at the reception desk. It felt like he’s doing us a favor and we are annoying him.

The cost of breakfast is excessive. Exceeds any you can find in the city centre.
And when I eat only a small breakfast, the charge is too much.
A graded breakfast would be welcome.
