Great location and very tidy
The food wasn’t great and the staff were very slow to give us service
Excellent location
Air con
I love the location. Absolutely everything about the stanwell is perfect
The cleanliness in the bedroom wasn’t great. The shower leaked so much we used most of the towels the mop the floor
The room and breakfast were fantastic along with the service. With the recent hot weather the staff went out of their way to provide fans and portable ac units.
all good
The room was tastefully decorated and furnished and the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Our room also had an annex with a two level bunk for small children. But as we were a couple this was only used for storing our cases.
It was helpful that there was private parking nearby.
The room was a little on the small side. Also, as the window would only open a small amount it was difficult to get a flow of air into the room witout using the fan provided.
The continental breakfast selection was limited. It did not include muesli or dried fruits, and the bread selection was poor.
It was very difficult on arriving in Lymington to find one's way to the hotel car park. I had to phone and ask for directions.
Very friendly staff, excellent food, convenient location
The bathroom toilet continually dripped, the bath and shower door had mildew and the bathroom itself smelt of mould. We had to keep the bathroom window open and the door shut, so the door rattled in the wind both nights. I also don’t know who painted the bathroom, but it was poorly done. The cold tap at the sink was very noisy. Noise pollution being situated above a room with a balcony and kitchen to the side. On a more positive note, the bedroom itself was decorated to a high standard and the view was lovely. #Room 39
Very clean, beautifully decorated and maintained
Nothing
La chambre spacieuse et très bien équipée.
Une literie exceptionnelle
Le manque de sourire de la jeune serveuse du petit déjeuner
Lovely room with good shower and comfortable bed.
Garden and bar areas are great for a relaxing stay and hotel is situated in a perfect location.
Unfortunately we had to check out early due to an emergency at home so didnt get to sample the breakfast which sounded good.
For the standard of hotel I'd expect larger, softer towels.
Pillows won't be to everyone's liking as they are very dense and hard
Very comfortable beds and blackout curtains so slept really well. Staff were all friendly and very helpful
Nothing
Its my favourite hotel, can't fault it, there isn't much more to say, staff very friendly and attentative. Thank you.
The hotel is very nice
I was charged extra £50 for an extra adult as I booked incorrectly
Lovely decor throughout the hotel and room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Reception staff in particular Dan were lovely and extremely helpful, getting us an ironing board when requested and showing us to our room. Overall the hotel was beautifully appointed and I felt it was a fair price. The room was quiet and bed comfortable and we slept very well. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Breakfast was nice with a variety of options.
We decided to get a drink in the lovely garden bar and waited a very long time and nobody spoke to us. I stopped one of the servers he seemed to be more senior and he was quite rude, it’s as if it was all too much trouble and not overly helpful and he also missed a massive opportunity to upsell when I asked about particular drinks. Safe to say our drinks never arrived, the younger server did eventually check on us and said he would get our drinks but we decided to leave along with another couple who came in shortly after us and didn’t fancy going back to the bar again as a result of this, which was a real shame as it was a lovely setting and the weather was glorious. Breakfast room looked a bit grubby in places indoors with crumbs and dust. Room didn’t have trouser hangers which is a very minor detail.
Perfect location- lovely outdoor space
No air conditioning- on a hot day the room was warm - but the door did open
