Could be a really excellent hotel with more attention to the basics.
Pros:

Room very nice, albeit a bit small.
Excellent welcome at reception.
Gentleman on breakfast was excellent and really knew how to engage with guests.

Cons:

Service very variable. F&B staff mostly young and though very pleasant, lacked basic training.
Dinner on Saturday very good but we forgot and no sides were offered, asked for dessert menu, never arrived and staff disappeared so we ended up waiting so long we gave up. Seemed to be several instances of food going to the wrong tables.
Shampoo / body wash dispensers are a disaster - end up having to remove the pump to get anything out.
No recycling facility in the room and lights on alround the place in daylight - very poor ESG in the era we live.

Enjoyable except for the loft room.
Pros:

Breakfast, terrace and bar, restaurant and food, staff. Altogether a very nice boutique hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Cons:

Although nicely appointed, I would not stay in a "Loft" room again in a heat wave! Despite being provided with both an air conditioner and a fan, my room was like an oven because of the exceptionally high heat-wave temperature. It was also very tight and awkward to move around because of the sloping eves and dormer roof line.

A lovely stay in a great location
Pros:

Very comfortable, traditional hotel with nice decor and friendly staff. Really liked having a radio in the room and the fact it was on and set at a low volume when we arrived - very welcoming.

Cons:

The only negative would be carpets on the staircase a bit tired and tiling around the bath could be refreshed. Otherwise very good.

Accomodation was excellent - despite the heat the room was pleasantly cool. Breakfast was good and we also ate in the restaurant which was good

Cleaning of the room on the second day was patchy - recycling wasn't removed

Tons of charater, great location charm and staff. During summer ensure you get a room with aircon or you’ll regret it!

Stayed in a suite that had no aircon. It was extremely uncomfortable and wouldn’t stay again during any warmer periods.

Lymington is a beautiful town and well worth a visit. The sea baths are good fun.
Pros:

The ambience was amazing a beautiful building full of charm. The location was amazing 🤩. Lovely breakfast.

The shower took a while to empty but not a major problem 😀

Great place but you really need to sort out your facilities and train your staff in the restaurant correctly.

Facilities in room were poor for a hotel that charges 250 a night.
No AC
No mini fridge
No power points by mirror
No full length mirror
Poor lighting in bathroom
Breakfast buffet is very low quality

Service of the restaurant and breakfast was extremely bad, forgotten drinks, wrong food, we waited 45mins for 1 drink having reminded staff 3 times, bills were wrong.

Lovely for a relaxing short break. Could chill out in the gardens.
Pros:

Beautiful decor, comfortable bed. Fans provided.

Cons:

The seating area was very hot even with a fan on. There is glass roof light, that was covered in voile but it did not cool the room. Lack of privacy at the bedroom window.
