The location, our wives liked the decor and the garden area was well maintained.
Our room was poor. The patio door was faulty and couldn't be opened which was a safety and fire hazard. There wasn't a wardrobe only a whicker coat rack! The breakfast service was chaotic! we waited 50 minutes for them to be delivered. The self service table was usually empty and the staff were disorganised!

Rooms tastefully refurbed to high level, full breakfast options of high quality offered, staff were amazing and engaging.
At 6ft 3 I couldnt fit under the shower in the courtyard rooms so struggled to be able to wash my hair, there is a conduit which lowers the roof, the shower head was around chest height for me.

Stanwell House is a beautiful building, the staff are attentive and courteous.
The hotel is in the town close to the shops and a few minutes from the sea front, the breakfast and dinner was excellent.
