Lovely hotel
Pros:

Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff

Cons:

Unfortunately I was robbed as I got to the entrance of the hotel one night. It was a scary and unpleasant experience. I think we should have been made more aware of the prevalence of thieves.

Great location to metro stop and easy walk to city center.
Pros:

Surprisingly, we received a corner room so it was a little larger than we thought. The bathroom and the bedroom was separated with a door and it was very spacious. The location of the hotel was great, but there were 2 other Catalonia's on the same street, so there was a little confusion as to which one it was after a long day of travel.

Hotel excelente! Atende tudo que um viajante necessita. Conforto, localização e segurança.
Pros:

Nota 10 para este hotel. Excelente! Localização perfeita, dá para fazer praticamente tudo a pé. Instalações dos quartos ótimas, bem confortável, excelente climatização.
A equipe da recepção muito atenciosa e cordial. Equipe do café da manhã são formidáveis e o café da manhã é muitíssimo bom, com variedades e alimentos frescos, com direito a churros, máquina de fazer suco de laranja, espumante, simplesmente tudo delicioso.
Ficamos no hotel quando chegamos em Madrid durante 3 noites, depois fizemos a região da Andaluzia e na volta, tinha reservado outro, mas ao observar a localização do outro Hotel, preferi a localização do Plaza Mayor, cancelei o outro e o reservei novamente por mais 2 noites na volta, nos deram um upgrade do quarto, foi excelente. E como nosso voo só sairia a noite de Madrid, nos deixaram fazer um late check-out até as 13h e depois guardaram nossas malas, inclusive mochilas. Na sala de bagagens deles, os funcionários só acessam com senha, achei bem seguro. Providenciaram nosso táxi.
Foram extremamente sensacionais.
Podem reservar sem medo. É um hotel que atende tudo que os viajantes necessitam em termos de localização, segurança e conforto.

Great hotel. I would stay here again!
Pros:

Excellent and convenient location to everything. The hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and extremely courteous.

The room was small. It was kind of hard to navigate and move throughout the room as a couple.

Abbiamo soggiornato all’hotel Catalonia Plaza Mayor 4 giorni e il soggiorno è stato impeccabile. La struttura è molto vicina alle principali attrazioni, raggiungibili tutte a piedi, in poco tempo. Pulizia ottima; personale molto gentile e accogliente; buffet della colazione molto vario; le camere, oltre ad essere molto pulite e fornite di tutto l’occorrente (kit benvenuto, kit pulizia, asciugamenti, ciabattine ecc.), sono insonorizzate. Hotel consigliato!

A cool oasis for sleep and relaxation and walking distance from almost everything we wanted to see.
Pros:

Well planned interiors. Bathroom with lots of space for toiletries etc., big sink with working stopper for washing clothes and shower door that closed all the way. Interior courtyard and free cava coupons were lovely.
