Pros:

My room had a very deep bathtub that I was able to fill to the brim with hot water.

Big old warm house. The room was very comfortable, everyone was welcoming and kind. It felt like being home.

Walking distance from downtown Summit, and convenient to Sunrise Senior Living where my parents are living.

Cons:

Continental breakfast was sufficient but no big deal.

A pleasant place to stay at a reasonable price.
Pros:

Comfortable, quiet and clean accommodation with easy access by foot to downtown Summit and train to NYC. Warmer, more friendly environment than most hotels.

Cons:

When I reserved my room, I was given the option of reserving a seat on a shuttle bus to Newark airport for well over $100. I chose to go by Uber, which cost me $27, plus a tip. You are not doing your guests a favor by allowing them to be steered to such an overpriced service.

The overall stay was good . rooms clean and quiet .
Pros:

Close to restaurants and stores. Easy access into the building .

Cons:

I didn`t like the 3 story climb to my room . The ceiling fan not working and a/c went off in the middle of the night . They should have cold bottle water in the room and breakfast could have been fresher .

Relaxing stay with peaceful sleep
Pros:

We loved our stay of one night in the DeBarry Inn. The bed was comfy, so were the pillows. The room was smallish but felt sufficient for the two of us. The staff member at the desk was friendly and knowledgeable. The check-in and check out went off smoothly. We particularly loved the location- which is in a peaceful residential neighborhood, not in a commercial area. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good mix of eggs, yogurt, juices, fresh berries, bread & bagels, cereals, pastries etc. Overall, we really felt totally relaxed during our stay at the Inn.

The Christmas Inn!
Pros:

We called at the Christmas Inn. This was a lovely place for us to stay over the holidays. It was decorated for Christmas and Hanukkah. They even played old black and white Christmas movies in the living room.Everyone was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t believe how easy it was to walk to the train station to get into the city and the shops and restaurants in Summit are wonderful. The snow just made it all more beautiful. It was like being home for the holidays only better.

Charming inn in excellent location
Pros:

Good value for a comfy room and bathroom. Excellent location walking distance to town center. Inn is charming with festive holiday decor. Could be a little noisy in the morning as the inn is old and rickety and allows you to hear the footsteps of guests upstairs . Sounds of vacuums before noon was annoying but understandable. Only an issue if you enjoy sleeping late. Never tried breakfast as hours were 7-9am and I’m clearly not a morning person.

Great place with Victorian charm
Pros:

My husband and I stayed at the DeBary Inn while visiting our daughter. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the other guests were quite nice to spend time with at breakfast. Everything was decorated beautifully for the holidays.
The inn is within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants, which makes exploring easy.
We enjoyed our stay!
