Thoughtful design, great location, and one of the most sensible checkout policies I've come across
Pros:

The hotel occupies a converted noble house, and the architecture shows — high ceilings, generous proportions, rooms and bathrooms that are both spacious and well lit, and the project to modernize it was just brilliant.
Staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Lovely inner garden for breakfast and drinks.
The standout feature, though, is the late checkout policy: Pillows charges an hourly rate for extra hours, provided the room is available. This is a genuine differentiator — most hotels force you into an all-or-nothing choice, typically 50% of the daily rate regardless of how many hours you actually need. Fan for life because of this!

Cons:

Breakfast is a buffet with fantastic variety, but nothing particularly memorable — including the bread and pastries, which is where most European hotels set themselves apart.

Im Gym funktionierte das bike während 4 Tagen (bis zur Abreise) nicht.
Das Gym war ein Hauptgrund für den Buchungsentscheid… Ich hätte erwartet, dass in dieser Preuskategorie innert 24 Std das Grät repariert ist oder ein Etsatzgerät dasteht…

5-star service at an incredible 4-star
Pros:

The staff was super friendly. Rooms impeccable. Facilities and breakfast were outstanding. Excellent value for money.

Cons:

There were cute a few people at check-in which made the waiting game a bit longer.

Een luxe, ontspannen en sfeervol verblijf op een toplocatie in hartje Gent.
Pros:

De luxe uitstraling en rustige sfeer van het hotel. De ligging is perfect op loopafstand van het centrum van Gent. De kamers waren comfortabel en stil, met een heerlijk bed. Ook het personeel was erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het eten was van hoge kwaliteit en gaf echt een complete luxe beleving.

Cons:

Het enige kleine minpunt was dat het helaas niet mogelijk was om tijdens ons verblijf te dineren bij LOF Restaurant, ondanks dat we op de wachtlijst stonden. Olivier le Petit Bistro was een goed alternatief.
Daarnaast bleek een late check-out tot 17:00u uiteindelijk toch niet meer mogelijk, terwijl dit eerder wel was aangegeven. Verder was alles uitstekend verzorgd.

A very comfortable stay and phenomenal good.
Pros:

The food was exceptional! I ate at the Bistro, and had breakfast buffet. The French onion soup at the bistro was phenomenal. The bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped. The property is visually rich.
