Marrocco trip
Pros:

I recently stayed in Marrakesh for 4 days. A wonderful mini-vacation. The accommodation at Jaal riad surprised us with its comfort, elegance, and the kindness of the staff. Because we stayed a short time, we called Taxi Tours Marocco and had a minivan at our disposal. Hakim, the driver and guide, organized our time very well so that we saw the specifics of the place. We went to a Berber home in the Atlas Mountains, saw how local ceramics are made, went to the desert for a camel ride and a traditional dinner, quickly passed through the souk, but we also saw the modern, luxurious side, I could say. All in all, a wonderful vacation with wonderful friends!+212 667-478986 Hakim

Not a 4*+ hotel
Pros:

Who on earth are writing these reviews? My experience was terrible. This hotel was chosen for it's tranquil setting but all we have had from the 2nd march is banging from renovations, no pool and feeble excuses from the jet 2 rep saying he was unaware of the renovations and a feeble offer of 25 pounds per day. When further loud banging was happening today during breakfast so loud that the floor shook I complained to management. Later that day I was told by one of their team Jet2 were informed last summer if the PLANNED work. Had I known I would not of booked this hotel as plenty of cheaper hotels available. If you want 5 star experience go elsewhere. Food repetitive, constantly cold and running short of supply. Pool reopened today and guests told no pool towels available so use your room towels. It's a joke save your money go elsewhere

Pros:

Always a great experience travelling with Jet 2 . Efficient all round !
The hotel was fab , comfy rooms , sunbeds , bar areas etc all fab!
Exceptional service from the bar team. Idriss , Salim and Nourdine were fabulous , friendly and welcoming ! And poured wonderful drinks to suit our tastes.
Buffet was good , could be doing with a changing a bit through the week maybe to different cultures ? The a la carte was fab but very slow service.

Just what we needed
Pros:

The Jaal Riad resort was a fantastic stay from start to finish. We felt so well looked after thanks to the amazing staff - unfortunately I don’t know her name but the lady at reception helped us book trips and thanks to her we experienced so much.
The beautiful Moroccan decor everywhere was beautiful as was the smell of orange blossom.
Florence was the live singer for 2 out of 3 nights and she was fantastic.
Food and drink fab.
Thank you to all

Ok for a short break…. But not a 5*
Pros:

Overall a good few days at this resort however things could be a lot smoother….

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by reception by asking for our passports, not anything else, we were then presented with a form to fill in in regards to our passport details (but they still had our passports). We were told not to fill these in at the reception but to take a seat with a piece of paper no clip boards. Once we had completed these we were then asked to sign onto the WiFi and provide our easyJet booking confirmation so they could get paid.. I disputed this as it had all my bank details etc so the you took a picture of the relevant page to show were staying here…

He then ushered us showing us around the building and said the al a crate restaurants see there but your not allowed to use them..

We were in two rooms same floor but different ends of corridor, they were fine too many scatter cushions for me and the seating area u under the window was very dirty and stained.. it is also noted in the shower section there was. Shutter which you can see through and / or open if you felt necessary so if your two friends be prepared to show a bit of skin…. Toilet is separate. The bed is very large however slipping of the mattresses would be ideal as they are very dented of where others have slept….

The buffet is fine very minimal but will find something to eat, it could be a little warmer as it did go cold very quickly.

Snack bar at pool Open between 1430 (or when they decide) again minimal food and if you want burgers or anything you require to pay extra..

Singer on of an evening was fantastic she does not need the keyboard player she is better on her own…

SPA::::

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t so kind to us so we decided to go to the inside pool. On arrival the lady said you had to pay for the pool 600mad for 1 hour (for 4 people) we did not pay this… This hotel
Advertises 2 pools and the large outdoor pool being a tad cold for
This weather it would be expected we are permitted in the inside pool.

3 nights 4 days was more than long enough here but if you are a golfer etc and are using it as a base it will be ample…

I have been to Marrakesh many time but unfortunately I won’t be returning to this hotel..

Fantastic Hotel, ideal for a solo female traveller
Pros:

Visited the Jaal Riad Resort for 4 nights as a solo traveller and had a wonderful experience.

The hotel aesthetics were pleasing on arrival - loved the colours, textures and patterns that welcome you as soon as you arrived to reception.

Hotel reception were friendly and welcoming along with the luggae porter who all made an effort to interact upon arrival.

The room was lovely and clean and spacious, absolutely loved the alcove with what i called a "reading nook" with a comfy sofa and lots of cushions to prop up on and get stuck into a good book. I had a pool facing room with a balcony, large TV, mini fridge, safe and plenty of wardrobe space. My only complaint is the hairdryer isnt very good and my hair is long and takes a while to dry. I would take my own if i return in the future.

Pool bar staff were really efficient and attentive and in the main bar, Salim made me some really nice non-alcoholic cocktails as i dont drink. Good chats and laughs every night in the bar.

The staff were really accomodating and bent over backwards for anything you needed - nothing was too much trouble.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and i really have no idea why some of the reviews say the food was cold? It wasnt at all - and i ate at varying times including 10 mins before service ended. I also ate the Al la Cartes - both the moroccan fusion and the italian. Much to my embarassment, they had very kindly arranged a birthday surprise/dessert at the Italian and brought me out a massive cake with a sparkler and candle. This was a really nice gesture.

I wanted to visit the spa but they were fully booked so sadly i didnt get to experience a massage this time.

Never had an issue getting a sunlounger, however, i didnt use the pool as it was a bit too cold for me. I would have rated higher if the pool was heated as that would have been the icing on the cake for me.

I thought the cleanliness and maintenence of the grounds/hotel/rooms etc was to a good standard and i really do appreciate all of the staff working in hospitality if they are fasting for Ramadan, yet still having to handle/serve food/alcohol to tourists.

As a solo female traveller, i felt really safe and there were plenty of guests and staff to talk to and interact with.

Overall, a lovely stay, would absolutely come back again and have been recommending to my friends already.

Beautiful & Brilliant ❤️
Pros:

I stayed 7 nights and from the moment I arrived I was treated like a queen.

Luggage taken to my room, easy to check in with no waiting. My room was spacious and clean. Bathrobe and slippers, mini fridge, south facing porch, huge comfy bed and large sofa in the bay of the window. Easy to use TV which connects to YouTube to use as I get ready each night.

The grounds are magnificent and so much detail and artifacts reflecting a really welcoming atmosphere. There were so many places to curl up with a book inside and out.

The huge outdoor pool gave a good kickstart to your blood circulation which was so needed from the sunshine and for a cool down.

The BOWE spa was excellent and exquisite in the treatments and rooms! I visited 5 times on my trip!! Fatima and all the team were so helpful. The indoor pool was such a relaxing space with loungers also to rest in the warmth.

I enjoyed the wide variety of food at all the meal times and free flowing wine. A lot of choices and the staff would replenish or assist if things had run low or you wanted something. The staff throughout the restaurants and the bar were so friendly and helpful. Salim and his staff in the bar that opened at 6pm til 11pm were phenomenonal! They were so helpful, great banter and conversations. The first night I was greeted by Salim and when I shared I was a solo traveller, I was looked after, seen and included every night. The entertainment every night was brilliant - beautiful female divas who had a rich array of classic songs and even some nights of dancing.

I ventured out for trips and as a solo traveller, Julien one of the managers took my WhatsApp and shared hers so as to stay in touch should I feel unsafe or need assistance which to me was going the extra mile. So thankful.

The security staff were brilliant, the whole team at the hotel just had everything covered.

I met some great people from all over especially England and Scotland - such a friendly and inclusive bunch of people

Would highly recommend Jaal Riad, I will definitely be booking again. ❤️🏝️

Could be good but I would not book again
Pros:

This hotel could be very good but there are a few things that take away from what could have been a relaxing stay.
First impressions were really nice, beautiful ornate entrance with mosaics and fountains. We booked in and told we had been upgraded from our garden view room to a pool view so all seemed good. There are a couple of issues due to geography that they can do nothing about.
First the hotel is on the take off flight path from the nearby airport. Take offs aren’t that regular and they don’t seem to fly at night but this was February, maybe busier in summer.
Second is that the very large freshwater pool runs north to south and the hotel rooms run along the sides. So only half the pool is in the sun at any time of the day, so you only have sun in the morning or afternoon depending on which side you are. Again this was February, maybe in the summer the sun is higher in the sky and it less of an issue.
Our room was very nice, spacious and clean, we found a kettle and two mugs and a couple of teabags but no coffee or milk.
I went to reception and was told “no we don’t supply coffee or milk”. Was told that we could get milk from the pool bar but would have to go and buy our own coffee!! Bought the coffee but then found no teaspoon so had to borrow one from the restaurant. Would it be too much to provide some coffee.
Worst thing was the food, dishes mostly empty and not being replaced, what was there was cold. Absolutely no attempt to provide non local food apart from on the “Asian delights” area where one night there was a paella ( not Asian) and stone cold.
Breakfast ok if you want continental but otherwise just eggs and a spicy chipalata , no grilled tomato or mushroom or potato.
Best food was lunch salads.
Unless you are willing to live on cold tagline all week I would go elsewhere.
This is our third trip to Morocco, previously once in Agadir and once in Marrakesh in all inclusive hotels and have never been disappointed with the food before.
Last comment, the staff do not seem that interested in interacting with the guests unless you are French.
It’s a shame, as I said, this could be a very nice hotel but needs some attention from the management

3+ star shabby in places fur coat no knickers!
Pros:

Rooms lovely but furniture needs to be repaired as very shabby. Sun beds shabby.

Hotel sells itself with 2 pools outdoor I heated indoor €20 an hour.

Moroccan or Italian restaurant one booking per stay, we went to Moroccan very very bland food, 100 dirham extra for lamb or beef tagine and drinks not included.

All inclusive is a very loose term, very limited drinks menu, only a few cocktails. Even those on all inclusive plus we’re only allowed certain branded drinks.

Pool bar buffet limited and from 2:30pm food left out birds flying.

Food Luke warm concerned about food safety raised with several members of staff, this was ignored! Eggs undercooked again a food safety concern.

Safe pleasant good location 10 min taxi to square and souks, shopping mall and carrefour 10 min walk

Authentic Moroccan oasis in bustling Morocco!
Pros:

Jaal Riad is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The standard is better than we had expected, the hotel is very clean and the rooms large with kettles, safe and small hairdryer. There was no air con as only heating is used in winter so I was quite hot in the evening but everything else was good. Nice rain shower and separate toilet which was useful! The food was lovely lots of Moroccan so was pleased to try all the local dishes. Pizza and pasta available for those who don’t like it so much. The staff are incredible and the waiters/waitresses are super friendly and if it’s not too busy you’ll get a drink quite quickly. We did have to ask twice a few times but this wasn’t an issue.
Only disappointment was the food tend to run out early in the night and suspect they don’t want to waste food so make sure you head down early! Also went to the Moroccan restaurant which was fantastic! We didn’t try the Italian as I think we were only allowed one visit during our 5 night stay. The all inclusive at the bars were good and always able to get a drink. Plus live music in the stunning bar in the evening! The food in the afternoon for all Inc isn’t great as we learned you couldn’t order from the menu and had to have the pizza and salad which was available at the bar. It would have been nice to have access to this menu as I don’t eat pizza so limited choice of anything else.
Overall though we had a great time and hotel and staff were fantastic! Recommended.

Very enjoyable stay
Pros:

Got back yesterday after a week's stay. Generally, the hotel is excellent - the rooms are spacious, the beds large and comfortable, the staff are all helpful and polite and the food is generally good. Contrary to what some other reviewers say, it deserves a 5 star rating.

The only downsides are related to the one thing it can't do much about - its location. It is only about 2-3 miles from the airport and on a flight path. While there are no overnight flights, planes can be seen (and heard!) flying not too far above at regular intervals. The hotel is also 2-3 miles from the city centre, mostly down a busy main road and not a very pleasant walk, particularly on a hot day, so you should be prepared to haggle over the fare with local taxi drivers on a regular basis if you plan lots of trips into Marrakech..

We did 3 trips whilst there through easyJet's local partner company - 1. the evening Souks, Jenna El Fnaa Square (where everyone is after the contents of your wallet, by fair means or otherwise) and meal with entertainment (musicians and belly dancer!) afterwards - good, apart from the stop at the chemists where they tried to sell us herbal remedies. 2. Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley - very good (apart from the stop on the way where they tried to sell us herbal remedies). The climb/steep walk up a mountain is quite an effort and I would advise against it for anyone over 70. 3. Day trip to Essaouira - nice small city on the coast with pleasant old town, harbour and sandy beach. The shops here are less hard sell than Marrakech. We enjoyed it, apart from the half hour stop en route at a co operative where they tried to sell us herbal remedies and the fact that we were the last hotel drop off, so after a near 3 hour drive home from Essaouira there was nearly another hour and a half criss crossing Marrakech dropping people off.

Overall, very nice hotel, would recommend. Obviously much cheaper than a hotel of equivalent standard in Europe too.

Great place to stop - easy access to the heart of the city,
Pros:

We booked the hotel following research on TA. We are always sceptical about some of the reviews but overall all the comments we read were general accurate and a fair reflection.
The Jaal Riad is a lovely hotel with spacious public rooms. We did not use the pool because to be frank, it was very cold outside so in the pool would have been a body shock. There is a charge of 200 dirhams to use the indoor heated pool.
Our room on the 1st floor was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and had plenty of hot water when showering.
We used the pool bar quite a lot and the staff were very welcoming. Indeed the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and pleasant.
The reception staff helped me out with a couple of issues we had in respect of an excursion we were going to do and they also gave advice with regard to the cost of a taxi into the Medina (50 dirhams or €5 for 2 persons per single trip).
The main bar had a log fire burning which was great as the evenings were chilly.
We were on an All Inclusive tariff but be aware there appears to be more than one tariff. We were yellow band, this meant that in the main we were on locally produced spirits etc but even so they all were good.
The food choices in the restaurant were excellent. There have been a number of comments from other travellers regarding the temperature of food in the buffet restaurant. I have to say I generally agree with these comments, mostly hot dishes were at best, warm. Have to say however the harissa was very spicy, delicious. Management have responded to this criticism for some time now, they really need to address it as a matter of some urgency.
The hotel is listed as 5 star. It really does have the potential to be 5 star but lets itself down and a number of minor points which if addressed would justify 5 stars, things like there being no soap in dispensers in toilets, no hand towels in dispensers, electric hand driers not working, having to ask for serviettes when dining. Yes these are minor points but ones that put that extra star on to make 5. I personally feel it is more 4.5 stars.

Would we return, yes. Thanks to all at the hotel for making our first visit to Morocco so memorable.

An Unforgettable Experience Made Special by Heartfelt Hospitality
Pros:

Our stay at Jaal Riad Resort was nothing short of exceptional, and what truly set it apart was the incredible human touch from the team—especially Chef Salim and Restaurant Manager Mounssif.
Out of nowhere, and without us even asking, they went out of their way to curate a beautiful Indian meal, thoughtfully prepared to match our tastes. This wasn’t just food—it was empathy, care, and cultural understanding served on a plate. Every dish felt intentional, authentic, and made with genuine love.
Chef Salim’s talent is undeniable, but what impressed us even more was his willingness to personalize the experience so deeply. And Mounssif’s warmth, attentiveness, and kindness elevated the entire dining experience—he made us feel seen, valued, and truly at home.
In hospitality, luxury isn’t just about the المكان—it’s about how people make you feel. At Jaal Riad, thanks to people like Salim and Mounssif, we felt cared for on a human level. This is the kind of service that stays with you long after the trip ends.
Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back

Quality and total package need to be optimized to arrive at the 5 star level
Pros:

We booked the place in a package of Voyage Privé. This means you get some extra benefits included such as a discount on the Spa, 1 hout Padel court and all inclusive. The start was very poor, I wrote around 5 mails to the reservation mail address to get more information about the Padel court, but without reply. After many requests they sent me a mail address to use. But that link didn't work so I gave up. The arrival was ok. The place was introduced by a nice lady, and we arrived at the room after a little tour. We had a pool view room on the 2nd floor with a balcony (2x2 meter). The rumour in the corridors at night when drunk english people stumble to their rooms is well heared, and on all the emergency lights on the walls are little birds sitting to get some warmth. The buildings of the complex and the beautiful main hall are constructed to stay cool in summer I suppose. But the past days, apart of the heave rainstorms that passed, were cold, so not comfortable to stay in. There were fireplaces but, apart from the bar some evenings, they were not lighted. It looks to me that the Spa and the Italian restaurant are different companies. Although all inclusive they charge € 5,00 for a medium hot espresso, and the Spa can only be contacted direct, even for simple questions like " if the aqua gym of Sunday is cancelled or not", no info is given. No towels provided at the outside (very cold) swimming pool, and het medium warm pool and jacuzzi (charged) they provide towels after many requests. The outside bar serves meals but they are outside the package, and as well in the Maroccan restaurant there are additional fees on many of the dishes. They are also not trpared on weather changes, although the water was really pooring down, no umbrella available. Conclusion: we travel a lot, all over the world, and my expectations of a 5 star all inclusive resort are different from what was offered and served. It is a nice place, they are very friendly but there is a lot of work to he done to reach the level I expected.

Wonderful holiday
Pros:

Just returned from a week stay. We had a wonderful time. The staff are lovely and really made it a great stay. Khalid at front desk and there was another man who arranged for me to use the indoor pool a couple times - so helpful. Also rashid in the restaurant was so friendly - all the restaurant staff were great. The bar staff in evenings also so helpful. Thank you for my delicious expresso martini ! The man with the glasses behind the bar - he was so kind. Mohamed who ran entertainment also fun. Smoking in the bar was annoying though but I guess it’s allowed in Morocco.
The food is fab. Loved the Moroccan pancakes and the biscuits. Our room was clean and spacious.
I do think the indoor pool should be free in winter months. That was a bit disappointing We would def stay again. It’s a beautiful hotel .
