Pros:

Incredible staff, they were very helpful, and we had enjoyable chats together. Nice location and good breakfast, too. It was also pretty clean, with everything in a great condition. The bed was perfect for my taste. The option to leave our luggage for a bit after checkout was lovely, too.

Cons:

At the time we were there, the construction site outside was active. It wasn't as loud, but it's probably something you should be aware of. Also getting the luggage up and down the stairs to our room wasn't as fun as the stairs were pretty high and they seemed to be barely wide enough. This too is not the hotel's fault, but something you should be aware of.

Tökéletes szállás a városban, a vonatállomás mellett.
Pros:

Good location - cross between guest house and hotel. Met my needs for a one night stay.
Pros:

Late booking and lucky to find a single room. Good location walking distance to Oxford centre. I was in the annex and major road works nearby did not affect me. Buffet breakfast included and modest charge for cooked. Staff helpful

Cons:

Common problem in lower cost hotels I find is that the curtains often do not run on the curtain rails. Rather low hanging fruit when it comes to maintenance? Anyway it wasn't a huge problem

Great location, very friendly staff and good value for money.
Pros:

I am walking the Thames pathway so the hotel is ideally located less than 100 metres from the River Thames. It is also right next to the railway station and is within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great - plentiful and cooked to order. They have had to endure major roadworks next to the hotel for 3 years but these are due to finish in the next couple of months. They deserve to succeed and I wish them well. The room I had was basic (but had everything I needed), but good value for money.

Westgate Hotel is niet aanbevelingswaardig.
Pros:

Helaas beviel eigenlijk niets. Schoonmaakdienst was OK.

Family room with private bathroom perfect for our needs
Pros:

Very pleased with this place. The staff member that greeted us was very welcoming and thorough, the room was clean and in good condition, and we even managed to check-in early. We prefer this kind of family room so we can keep an eye on the younglings.

We were informed of the ongoing building works around the hotel and of the provided noise cancelling window inserts, but fortunately didn't need them as there was only the distant hum of a generator in the background at night.

The next morning we came down for breakfast. There was fruit, milk, tea and toast among other things, all inclusive. To supplement this we ordered some waffles for the kids, which came with some greek yogurt and honey so we were all satisfied. There's a nice enclosed garden to enjoy too.

Cons:

Not much to suggest really. Bathroom a little musty on arrival, but fine after airing it a bit.
